The Lynn Vision of Los Angeles gave a conversion Suitely, and the prize draw was given to the fund for the relief of the children by the flood in Germany. Over $900 was realized.

The Anaheim Minstral Club have performed the scenery and stage output of a theater club of Santa Ana, and having all its details, they have had a very good run. For about two weeks past, Mr. R. E. Burns, the inventor had patented of the Anna Fruit Dryer, has had a working model of his dryer on exhibition at the Planter's Hotel, together with samples of all kinds of fruit. Considerable interest was taken in the exhibition, and it culminated a few days ago in the purchase from Mr. Burns of the sole right to manufacture and sell his dryers in Los Angeles County. The price paid for each right was $1500. The purchaser have formed an incorporation under the name of the Anna Fruit Drying and Manufacturing Company with capital stock divided into 15 shares, at $100 each. The stockholders are Louis Wickman, Ianaries, E. Brown, J. O'Donnell, R. J. Northam, Ianaries, W. Grassley, Ivanare, L. Browning, Ivanare, P. Hillington, Ivanare. The stockholders had meeting Wednesday night at which Mr. Brown was elected President, Mr. Harting Treasurer, Mr. Stewart was elected Chairman and Mrs. Harting Treasurer. The question of financing a large merger to Anaheim was discussed, and finally resolved to entail to organize a company among the owners and build a dryer on town on a large scale; however of the so-called lots of the company buying from country stores have expired; a small press to take shots on the population and and that they treat it as a threat to their business and life will be sent forth from San Francisco. He has also connections within a real estate community here and is interested in day's paper. The great news comes to us well being communicated to an energized, stillful agent who thoroughly understands his business and will participate in it immediately and with vigor. He is committed with the Linnegant Bureau of San Francisco, and he are engaged with those same hired beechers will be sent forth from San Francisco. In boring a well the other day, Mr. J. T. Stewart brought up from a depth of memory feet a rebellious weighing 92 pounds, and measuring 69 inches. As the pipe was only a seven inch one, there was not much courage to go on, and it shows that Stewart has not only good well tools but knows how to use them.
Mr. L. J. Stengel, of Los Angeles, makes his annual announcement through our column daily. As all the people in this section have for years purchased garden plants from Mr. Stengel, it is needless to bespeak their continued patronage for him. Suffice it to say that his stock of plants this year is in quantity and variety vastly superior to that carried by any nursery man in the State.
"The Anaheim Minstrels" is the name of the latest organization. It is composed of several of our young townspeople who have an aptitude for music, and they have practiced together assiduously of late. They will give a public performance on the 26th instant, and we doubt not they will be great.
The "Anaheim Minstrels" is the name of the latest organization. It is composed of several of our young townspeople who have an aptitude for music, and they have practiced together assiduously for lage. NOTES OF A RAMBLE.
ED GAZETTE — One who remains at home fails to realize how rapidly the southern portion of California is filling up. We know that the city of Los Angeles is spreading out day by day, and has doubled its population in three years. We have seen this growth in our own immediate neighborhood, but other places have been moving also, and some amount of a recent trip may be of interest to your readers.
Three years ago Pomona excited but that was all that could be said for it. A fire had swept away the hotel and one or two stores, and the people seemed discouraged; now what a change! Four buildings stand today where there was one then, and more are going up fast as the carpenters can build them. Our neighbor, Cur Howe, has a large store well stocked with goods, and appears to be thriving, and their familiar faces were seen on the streets. The discovery of western water and the creation of world that rival those of Western step in volume makes the future of the surrounding country very triumphant and promising.
I was curious to see the new colonies that have been appointed so extensively: Etiwanda and Ontario—and confess to mingled habitats of agriculture and amazement as I draw through them. Because most of the colonies are colony that arrived a certain portion of the proprietors to make it possible that a garden should bloom here in any desert. There have been miles of dirt roads and wooden piper fields from the mountains to the lands of the colonies, and every excursion taken to secure but wildly of the available water in the sage he has been cleared off, and Emilied Avenue laid bit, but though I looked carefully I could not find the electric light, the oven or drying room.
It was late at night when I reached San Bernardino, but through six years has passed since I can be there, who could ever forget the ground beauty of the countryside that greeted me the following morning? Top town itself has required very much. Its population has nearly notbility tips all Mormon element is bogged down in a better class of people are moving in. An number of the institutions here have been built, while many attractions still remain just outside the eye on call and those are inviting too.

It was late at night when I reached San Bernardino, but through six years has passed since I had been there, who could ever forbid the ground beauty of the resort that greeted me the following morning! Top town, itself has required very much. Its population is nearly double that of Marineland is slightly upward a better class of people are moving in. A number of the innings books have been built, with attractive dwellings protect the eye on all sides and the people are just glad to now because the truth of the san Diego road is being laid down into the town, and at last, after long waiting, San Bernardino is to have reduced distance with the outside world. A one-tier tower is already completed, and in another block, goes going on later township. My Pringle, too has his promise again.
My own observation of it was most pleasant and in another block, goes going on later township. My Pringle, too has his promise again.
