SAN ANDEAS, April 18th.—Rev. John Moyle, indicted for bigamy, pleaded guilty to-day in the County Court and asked for the mercy of the Court. His excuse was ignorance of the statue in relation to bigamy. The reverend gentleman has hitherto borne a good reputation in this community. Sentence set for April 30th.
LEAVENWORTH, April 17.—A under storm passed over this city this afternoon, inflicting severe damage. Houses were unroofed, trees blown down, and sidewalks lifted up bodily and hurled through the air. The storm almost reached the fury of a tornado.
BELGRAD, April 17th.—Prince Milan has confirmed the sentence of death passed upon M. Thumitch, formerly Minister President, and thirty others, for complicity in the recent military conspiracy. The execution will take place immediately after Easter. Other persons have been sentenced to penal servitude.
POTTSVILLE (Pa.), April 17.—Dispatches from Donaldson and Tremont state that a large meeting of miners and laborers was held in the woods this afternoon, at which they demanded bread or work. Another meeting will be held Friday.
CHARLESTON, April 22.—The bark Azor, with 250 negro emigrants for Liberia, sailed to-day.
MEMPHIS, April 23.—At nine o'clock last night a terrific rain and thunder storm set in, which continued through the night. It is feared that planters have suffered severely from the unprecedented rains of last week.
The new dollar would look well enough, Spikes says, if the Englishman that designed it had put a little more stuffing around the eagle's wish-bone; and had tied up the chin of the factory girl who is looking out of the window on the other side.

Skimming cats alive is apparently a regular industry in England. A Cockney named Morgan Weeks has been sent up for three months, with hard labor, and it came out in hearing his case that the cats are flayed alive, as seals are, because, like sealskin, cat-skin retains the natural gloss of its fur only when taken from the living animal.
The San Francisco Call says: The admissibility of Mongolians to citizenship is likely to be passed upon by the United States Judges, several Chinese merchants having made application to F. A. Bee and B. S. Brooks to aid them in obtaining naturalization papers through the Federal Courts.

Bakersfield, April 17.—On Saturday last Hamilton Tucker and William Johnson were killed near Long Tom in this county. Tucker was riding with his wife in one wagon, and Johnson in another with Mrs. Burdett, a sister of Tucker. When half a mile this side of Long Tom, on the Glenville road, two men stepped from behind the rocks on the hillside, 50 yards away, and fired. Johnson fell and cried out, "I am shot." Another shot was fired and Tucker fell out of his wagon, a ball having passed near his heart, killing him instantly. Mrs. Tucker recognized William and Thomas Yoakum, sons of the late Isaac Yoakum, of Alameda county, as the persons who fired the shots. On the evidence of Mrs. Tucker the Yoakums were arrested and are now here in jail.
Miss Beecher's Plea.
New York, April 17th.—The Tribune prints the following from Kimura:—Sir: Those who credit the recently renewed accusation of my brother, Henry Ward, are either wicked men who would do the same doing themselves, or those who have not been taught in church or family that circulating improved accusations of persons of established good character is slander. I am the eldest child, and I never heard of an indecent impure word or act by my father's son, either from family, school or college; and if there was a man that ever established a high character for purity, honor and truth, it is my brother Henry Ward. I hope the day is at hand when all honorable women, for their own defence and the protection of their sex, will banish from their society all men or women who circulates unproved accusations against persons of good character.
