Reinforcements now appearing, Victory is nigh!

Wave the answer back to heaven,
"By thy grace we will."
2. See the mighty host advancing, Satan leading on;
Mighty men around us falling, Courage almost gone.—Cho.

Onward comes our great commander, Cheer, my comrades, cheer!—Cho.
—A warrant was issued out of Justice Clark's court yesterday for the arrest of John Doe and Richard Roe for stealing a horse from Mr. Yarnell, at Orange.
From the Marysville Appeal: A gentleman passing Butte slough yesterday observed a new way of fooling wild geese and getting into closer range. The hunter was mounted on a cow, which he guided by a rope bridle or halter. By hugging close to the cows back, the hunter was enabled to get close range, and succeeded at every fire in bringing down several geese.

From Saturday's Daily.
— Two carloads of freight were shipped from Anaheim depot yesterday.
— There were very few arrivals by the cars last night.
— The schooner "May Queen" will leave Anaheim Landing to-day for San Francisco.
— We learn that another furniture store will soon be opened in Anaheim by a Los Angeles gentleman.
— A brick cesspool is to be built at the Planters' Hotel. It will be twelve feet in diameter.
— Joseph Jordan and others are contemplating driving about ten thousand sheep overland to San Francisco this winter.
— In Justice Bailey's court, Sam Bland complained that one J. E. Goodrich unlawfully took, stole and drove away one red heifer. The hearing is set for to-day at 10 A.M.
— Mr. Luedke has been repairing a clock for Mrs. Huges, which is a rare old piece of mechanism, telling not only the time, but the days of the month and changes of the moon. It was manufactured by an old English watchmaker for his own use.
— Our informant said, "Now, if you were the Danbury Newsman—," We want it distinctly understood that we are not the Danbury News man, or any relative to the same; and if a lady gets caught in her hoop skirts and has to disentangle herself in the street, we have not the ability nor disposition to give other than a bare statement of the facts.
— Ever since the settlement of this section of the county, parties in search of farming lands have cast wistful eyes toward the rancho San Joaquim and regretted that its fertile acres should be used for pasture instead of being converted into the beautiful homes it is capable of building.

Ever since the settlement of this section of the county, parties in search of farming lands have cast wistful eyes toward the rancho San Joaquin and regretted that its fertile acres should be used for pasture instead of being converted into the beautiful homes it is capable of making. No tract of land in this section is better adapted to the cultivation of the various trees and plants for which this valley is particularly fitted; and now that its proprietors have conceded to the wishes of the incoming population, and offered their land for sale, we are certain that the time is not far distant when it will rival with the surrounding settlements, and contribute an enormous increase to our exports. In many parts of the rancho the water is within four or five feet of the surface, and artesian water can be reached within a short distance. Many portions are peculiarly adapted to the growth of corn and alfalfa and its nearness to water-transportation renders it peculiarly desirable.
When hotel men visit the Anaheim Gazette they carry a cold lunch in their pockets with which to appease the appetite of the hungry editor. That paper will never starve Santa Barbara News.
The News jumps at conclusions without mature reflection. We said that the steward of the hotel knew what was good for a printer's stomach, and always brought some with him when he visited us. Now we put it to the News man, what is good for a printer's stomach? Would a cold lunch satisfy its yearnings? Would bread and cheese fill the vacuum in the intestines of the modern printer? Besides cold lunches are not generally carried in a quart flask.

YOUNG MEN
Who may be suffering from the effect of youthful fallies or insurrection, will do well to avail themselves of this, the greatest boon ever laid at the altar of suffering humanity. Dr. SPANNEY will gnawanee to forfeit $500 for every case of seminal weakness, or private disease of any kind or character which he undertakes and fails to cure. He would therefore say to the unfortunate sufferer who may read this notice, that you are treading upon dangerous ground when you longer delay in seeking the proper remedy for your complaint. You may be in the first stage; remember you are appr aching the last. If you are bordering upon the last and are suffering some or all of its ill effects, remember that if you persist in procrastination, life must come when the most skillful physician can render you no assistance; when the door of hope will be closed against you; when no angel of mercy can bring you relief. In no case has the Doctor failed of success. Then let not despair work upon your imagination, but avail yourself of the beneficial results of his treatment before your case is beyond the reach of medical skill, or before grim death hurries you to a premature grave. Full course of treatment $25 00. Send money by Postoffice order or Express with full description of case.

WORMS.—The only known and sure Remedy for Worm—Pin, Tape, etc.
Tumor of 12 Years' Growth Cured by Radway's Resolvent
Havenna Moose July 18, 1853.
Dr. Radway—I have had Ovarian Tumor in the vaginal bowels. All the doctors said "there was no help for it." I tried every way I could recommend it; but nothing helped me. I saw your doctor and asked about it; but had no choice in it because I had suffered for twelve years. I had two babies of some kind. Belief, and there is not a sign of tumor to be seen or felt, and I have never suffered more than I have for twelve years. The worst tumor was in the left side of the bowels, the groin. I write this to you for the benefit of others. You can publish it if you choose.

Late Improvements render the FLORENCE more than ever the best for Family use. 2,268 FLORENCE MACHINES were sold on the Pacific Coast in 1874, a larger number probably than was ever sold here of any other kind in a single year.

For Innermost and Chronic Rheumatism, Gout, Billions, Remittent and Intermittent Fevers. Diseases of the Blood, Liver, Kidneys and Bladder; these Bitterns have no equal. Such Diseases are caused by Vitilated Blood.
Mechanical Diseases.—Persons engaged in Paints and Minerals, such as Numbers, Tape-setters, Gold-heaters, and Miners, as they advance in life, are subject to paralysis of the Bowels. To guard against this, take a dose of Walker’s Vixear Brushes occasionally.
For Skin Diseases, Eruptions, Tetter, Salt Rheum, Biotches, Spots, Pimple Instules, Boils, Carhuncles, King-worms, Scald-head, Sore Eyes, Erysipelas, Itchy Scrubs, Discolorations of the Skin, Humbrids and Diseases of the Skin of whatever Name or nature, are literally dug up and carried out of the system in a short time by the use of these Bitterns.
Pin, Tape, and other Worms, lurking in the system of so many thousands are effectually destroyed and removed. No system of medicine, no vermifuges, no anthelmintics will free the system from worms like these Bitterns.
For Female Complaints, in young or old, married or single, at the dawn of womanhood, or the turn of life, these Tonic Bitterns display so decided an influence that improvement is soon perceptible.
Cleanse the Vitiated Blood whenever you find its impurities burrowing through the skin in Pimples, Eruptions, or Sores; cleanse it when you find it obstructed and sluggish in the veins; cleanse it when it is foul; your feelings will tell you when. Keep the blood pure, and the health of the system will follow.
