San Francisco Market.
VIOUR.
The price of Superfine is $3,90@1 for common, $4,15@4,30 for standard brands: Extra Superfine, $4,50; Extra Baker's and Family Extra, $4,75@5. Golden Gate, Golden Age, and Starr Mills Extra silk-dressed are jobbing at $5@5,12@196lb.
WHEAT.
The demand fully equals the supply, causing prices to remain unchanged, with an active movement, the receipts as well as exports comparing favorably with past seasons. So far as made public the transactions of the week may be thus summarized: 50,000 skis extra choice milling and shipping; $1,55: 35,000 skis good shipping; $1,52: 24,500 skis fair do; $1,50: 4,500 skis common milling; $1,40@1,45; 3,500 skis inferior and smutty; $1,20@1,25@1,35 @ central. Liverpool quotations, December 9th, for spot parcels are given at 9s 10l@10s 3l for average, 10j 4d@10s 7d for club; In 1873 same date, 13s 3l up to 13s 6d@14s for club; 1872, 12s 4d@12s 6d@13a. With us at this date, the range of the market is $1,25@1,55 @ctl.
BARLEY.
The overland movement is continued to the full extent of the cars furnished for the freighting thereof by the Central Pacific Railway, not a little going forward from interior points details of which are not immediately available. Chevallier is very scarce, the crop of bright Bay well exhausted. There is however an occasional lot of Coast offered not altogether desirable. We quote choice bright Bay $1,75@1,80 and Coast Chevallier dark, $1,35@1,45. Bright Bay Brewing is yet firmly held at $1,50, although occasional sales have been made a shade off. Transactions for the week so far as made public embrace the following: 5,500 skis extra choice bright Bay Brewing, $1,50; 2,600 skis do, $1,474; 2,500 skis fair, $1,45; 5,000 skis Coast [Concluded from first page]
vision church of San Juan Capistrano, and destroyed by an earthquake, as above mentioned. Upon nearing the ruins, the old walls look like an immense depot, until a close approach dispels the fancy. After the earthquake not a particle of the debris was touched, nor a mark of improvement made, until 1853, when the citizens of San Juan determined to repair the walls, rebuild the roof, and re equip the premises generally. Work was at once commenced, the broken walls being patched and extended with adobes. This, however, proved a failure, as the adobes not being allowed sufficient time to dry, became shapeless, and fell to the ground in a mass of mud.
The interior of the corridor building in many places is in an excellent state of preservation. Much of the furniture, which was imported ninety odd years ago, is as substantial as when first manufactured. An old bench upon which have been seated in succession palettes Gorgonlo, Amunlo, Mugarteguin, Sunea, Barrona, and Salvidea, graces the ruins as an article of school-room furniture.
Around about may be seen distributed large piles of dirt, etc., all of which at one day or another, since 1776, were manufactories, nurseries workshops, dwelling-houses, etc. This and the ruins of the church and its corridors are all that remain of the once rich and celebrated Mission of San Juan Capistrano.

Anaheim, Cal.
Frank R. Lafancherie & Co., Proprietors.
We are undersigned having leased the above well-known house; would respectfully solicit the patronage of its former friends and the traveling public. The house having been refurbished and renovated we are prepared to offer superior accommodations. Stages from Los Angeles, Wilmington and San Diego
shop at this house. Anaheim is in the most fertile part of the semi-tropical region of California, in the midst of luxuriant
points, details of which are not immediately available. Chevallier is very scarce, the crop of bright Bay well exhausted. There is however an occasional lot of Coast offered not altogether desirable. We quote choice bright Bay $1 75@1 80 and Coast Chevallier dark, $1 35@1 45. Bright Bay Brewing is yet firmly held at $1 50, although occasional sales have been made a shade off. Transactions for the week so far as made public embrace the following: 5,500 sks extra choice bright Bay Brewing, $1 50; 2,600 sks do, $1 47; 2,500 sks fair, $1 45; 5,000 sks Coast Brewing bright, $1 35@1 37; 5,500 sacks fair do, $1 30@1 32; 5,500 sks Coast Food, $1 20@1 25; 2,500 sks Inferior, $1 15@1 17 lb ctl.
OATS.
Supplies are free, but the market is rather sluggish. Sales for the week in lots aggregate 5,500 sks within the range of $1 35@1 50 for fair to good; choices, $1 60@1 65, latter for Surprise.
CORN.
The offerings are quite liberal, but most of the lots arriving are more or less damp, either wet in the field or in the sack. Sales for the week in lots, 1,400 sks Yellow Southern,$1 40@1 42@1 50: 150sks Bay, $1 50@1 52.
RYE.
There is a good demand with sales during the week of 1,500 sks at $1 12@1 15 ctl.
BEANS.
Small lots are continually arriving, but nearly all more or less damaged. Those of good quality are picked up readily at hardening rates. There is a speculative demand for Whites of choice quality, but the truth is, there are very few good ones to be had at any price. The crop was thought to be a full one, yet nine-tenths of it was ruined or injured by the early rains before secured from the weather. We quote jobbing rates: Bayos, 2]@2[c; Pink, 2]@2[c; Red, 2]@2[c; small White. 3]@3[c;; Butter, 4]@5c.
HAY.
The supply is fair with small cargo sales at $11@13 for common; $14@17 for good to choice.
SEEDS.
The Alfalfa crop was injured by the early rains; sales making at 15c. Mustard Seed is slow of sale at 2c for Yellow and 2]e for brown.
HOPS.
The market is firm at 32]@35c. Some holders are asking much higher rates for choice.
COTTON.
We note a sale of 25 bales Merced County at 15]c.
HIDES.
There is a good demand for Dry at 19]@20c for the usual selections; Wet Salted at 9]@9c.
HONEY.
Receipts have fallen off materially during the past month. Stocks are much reduced and prices are firm at quotations. We quote white Comb in frames at 18]@22c; dark do 10]@12]e;
