Kellogg and the Metropolitans have been indicted by the Grand Jury of Louisiana. Laura D. Fair has been engaged by an enterprising showman of Cincinnati to deliver a course of lectures in that city. A contract will be awarded on July 1st, to remove Rineon rock from the harbor of San Francisco. The Modocs captured a supply train last week. Gen. José Antonio Parez, the Washington of Venezuela, died in New York City recently. He was born in 1780. The steamer Tigress arrived at St. Johns on May 19th, having on board nineteen of the survivors of Hall's Arctic expedition. "Boss" Twoed is on trial again in New York. New York has a population of 43,600 to the square mile and London only 26,000.
