Heeding, formerly president of a Rivank bank, who has been at liberty on a $500 ball was rearrested in Rivank center on advice from Riverbank for his bondmen had withdrawn the money. He made arrangement to new bail and was released. NOTICE OF SALE—DELINQUENT LIST. Office of the Superintendent of Streets of the City of Anaheim, County of California; January 15th, 1921. Public Notice is Hereby Given that default having been made in the payment of the several amounts due upon the rite property hereinafter described and assessed thereon for the cost and expenses of the opening and extension of West Chartress Street in the city of Anaheim from a point one hundred sixty and twenty-five hundred (160,25) feet west of the west line of North Palm Street in said city by a point one hundred sixteen and eight tenths (116.8) feet east of the east line of Resh street in said city, accordance with Resolution No. 147 of the Board of Trustees of the City of Anaheim, entitled "A resolution of the Board of Trustees of the City of Anaheim determination intention to order the opening and extending of West Chartress Street in said City from a point one hundred sixty and twenty-five hundred (160,25) feet west of the west line of North Palm street in said city to a point one hundred sixteen and eight tenths (116.8) feet east of the east line of Resh street in said city," passed and adopted on the 5th day of November, 1920, as per report of commissioners filed with the City Clerk of said city on the 25th day of May, 1921, and as finally confirmed, approved, and adopted by the Board of Trustess of the City of Anaheim, at a meeting of said Board of Trustess held on the 25th day of August, 1921; NOW THEREFORE I, O. E. Steward, Superintendent of Streets of the City of Anaheim, will, on the 5th day of January, A. Italian Bank Granted Moratorium Of Year ROME, Dec. 31—The total liabilities of the Banca Italiana di Sconto, which closed its doors Thursday and today was granted a moratorium of one year in which to endeavor to straighten out its financial tangles, will reach 4,000,000,000 lire. This became known today by the publication of the petition of the bank for a moratorium. The petition attributed the situation of the bank to the general European economic breakdown. For four strenuous hours the auctioneer had tried hard to work his listeners up to the proper pitch of enthusiasm. But either the weather or their lunch or both had disagreed with them and they simply wouldn't bid. The sale was one of horses and lot after lot went for very poor prices. At last a sad and sorry animal was led into the ring. "Now, gentlemen, shouted the auctioneer, 'what may I start the bidding at for this lovely animal?' There was a pause. Then a doubtful voice came from somewhere in the middle of the crowd. "五 dollars," it said. "Gentlemen, gentlemen!" expostulated the auctioneer with tears in his eyes. "The horse is alive." Our idea of a smart baby is one that does its sleeping during the night.
