FORMER ANAHEIM WOMAN SURPRISED
Mrs. C. W. Brakeman of Santa Ana, formerly of Anaheim, was pleasantly surprised Tuesday afternoon when upon being called into the next apartment to her own at 203 1-2 East Tenth street she found a group of her old friends awaiting her with greetings and best wishes for her birthday.
Mrs. Everett J. Horsley who has recently come to Santa Ana from Anaheim, had arranged the surprise and it was in her apartment that the guests gathered to await their victim.
After the excitement of the affair had subsided the party was resumed in the apartment of Mrs. Brakeman and the afternoon was happily passed with fancy work and chatting.
At an appropriate hour Mrs. Horsely served tea and cakes to the following guests:
Mrs. Earl Morris, Mrs. Earl Glenn, and the Misses Mayme Havens, Grace Roberts, Ida Nay, Luu Miner and Viola Hill.
