Mrs. May, who is one of Anaheim's most beautiful and most talented women, took the leading role of Yum-Yum in the production and won applause after applause as she appeared on the stage or made her exit. She played opposite Ray Miles, as Nanki Poo, the dashing hero of the story, who made a decided hit with his tenor voice, which he used most effectively in winning the heart and hand of Yum-Yum. One press comment said: "Mrs. May can only be likened to a fairy-like creature with a marvelous soprano voice." SANTA ANA TROUNCES SANTA MONICA BY 13-0 SCORE Santa Ana high school yesterday smashed Santa Monica's hopes for another Southern California football title when the county seat team fought to a 13 to 0 victory on the Bovard Field at Los Angeles. The game was devoid of thrills, Santa Ana having the ball in their opponents territory most of the game and lacked only a little snap to run up a husky total. Wilcox starred for Santa Ana. His running and passing were the big features of the game. He passed to Williams for the initial tally of the game. In the first play of the second quarter, and scored the second touchdown on a line buck after completing a forward pass for 3 thirty-yard gain. Shoemaker was the whole thing for Santa Monica. He played a slashing defensive game at fullback, and made practically all of Samohi's gains. Hanford, Santa Monica's quarterback, outpunted Knight of Santa Ana on every exchange of kicks. DARNLEY ANNOUNCES BOUTS FOR TONIGHT (By BILLY DARNLEY) An excellent card of bouts has been lined up for the Anaheim Athletic Club's opening show at the new arena tonight. The athletic manager has signed up some fast boys for the occasion and a real program of action is promised. There will be six events on the card and a double main event will feature the bill. Jack Iman, the hard-hitting 160-pounder of local fame, will mix with another hard hitter answering to the name of Dan Mackey, who claims Los Angeles as his home town. Mackey has quite a reputation as a tough, ready and rough mixer and should give the local man a tough fight. Iman has been keeping himself in trim since his bout with Ketchell, who he held to a draw at the last show at the fistic farm. In the other half of the double bill, Young Dudley, the fast colored boy who has put up some great battles for the benefit of local fans, will again be seen in action when he will battle with Willie Hunt of Los Angeles. Hunt should give Dudley a warm argument, as he is a fast, clever boy and carries a good healthy wallop in either mitt. Dudley has been going good at San Diego recently, having held his opponent to draws or a win. Fullerton Junior College Captures Football Title Although Chaffey Junior College only two weeks and is therefore not Fullerton Junior College Captures Football Title Although Chaffey Junior College held Fullerton Junior College to a 7-to-7 tie on the field of the Ontario school yesterday, the championship title for the Junior College League goes to the Orange County school. Yesterday's game leaves Chaffey with one and a half games lost, while Fullerton has lost only half a game. Had Chaffey won yesterday, the two schools would have been tied for position in the league, but Chaffey would have held the championship by virtue of the Junior College League ruling which gives it to the school which has defeated the other. There was some talk of protesting the game on the ground that one of Fullerton's star players has been in the school only two weeks and is, therefore, not eligible to play, but no decision has been reached in this matter. Patton, Chaffey's fullback, was the star of the game, repeatedly pounding through Fullerton's apparently invincible line and being responsible for the Tiger's touchdown in the second quarter. McLean converted for Chaffey and the score stood 7 to 0 at the end of the first half. Fullerton made its touchdown in the third quarter on a series of passes. Hawkins converted and the score was tied, 7 to 7. The remainder of the game was featured by Chaffey's two attempts for field goals from Fullerton's 25-yard line, one missing by a few inches and the other being blocked. ing of Our Wonderful s Display! and Monday, Nov. 26 and 28 TOYS On our second floor we have the biggest display of Toys it has ever been our pleasure to exhibit during our entire business career.
