CRAIG-CLEMMER
NUPTIALS TODAY
The culmination of a romance came this morning at the home of Rev. and Mrs. A. B. Markle when their friend Miss Lillian Clemmer became the bride of James Craig, of Brea. The brides' mother, Mrs. Dan Clemmer and a sister of the bridegroom, Mrs. Depwig were present.
The Markle home was decorated with baskets of roses, sweet peas, carnations and ferns. The bride looked very pretty in a dress of white.
Immediately following the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Craig left for a short honeymoon and on their return will be in their home on South street.
Miss Clemmer has been a resident of Anaheim for some years and during the past four years has been a student at the high school. She has made many friends both in business and social circles.
James C. Craig is an oil worker in the local fields where he has been employed for several years. He is well known among the younger people of Anaheim and Fullerton.

"THANK YOU" GIVEAWAY
CITY MANAGER A HAPPY SMILE
City Manager Steward seldom hear anyone say "thank you" so far his work is concerned but this morning (and today is Friday too) a lady called him on the telephone and thanked him for promptness in having a street repaired.
Mr. Steward is not a man who says much but he does much: The work of pleasing some five thousand people in a metropolitan city is some last but happily Anaheim people are no chronic kickers Mr. Steward says.
"I seldom get thanked in this manner" said Mr. Steward this morning but it does sound good when someone is thoughtful enough to call me and say they are pleased with my efforts to hold efficiency at its peak.
Gratitude is a wonderful inspiration to the ordinary human being People who have complaints in Anaheim will always find Manager Steward ready to listen and do what he is empowered to do to eliminate cause for complaint.

BATTLE WHITHER
The second game of the season series will be played by the Anaheim Elks baseball team Sunday afternoon at the Fullerton field, when the Wilber Elks will bring their team meet the local players.
Last Sunday, Anaheim won the first game of the series when it played at Long Beach, scoring 8 to Low Beach 4.
The Redlands Elks team failed play last Sunday, announcing Saturday that they would be unable to go a team in the field this season.
The action will demoralize the schedule to some extent, but it is believed other Elks team will be organized time to make the schedule as originally planned.
It is hard to tell which insinuis greater pride in the amateur garden—his first radish or his first blister.
