The Idaho of the U.S. navy will leave San Pedro with several other ships on Wednesday. Ensign C. C. Anderson, nephew of Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Camp, sent word that they would take in several northern ports and return to Seattle, where they remain through the summer for repairs. They will return to San Pedro September 1.

TRACTOR UPKEEP.
The upkeep of farm tractors will be discussed at the meeting of the Buena Park farm center tonight at the Buena Park school house.
A new Masonic lodge known as Silver Cord lodge, was instituted at Santa Ana Masonic temple. Elliott Trago, inspector for the sixty-fifth Masonic district was in charge of the ceremonies.
Santa Ana lodge, No. 241, the parment blue lodge in Santa Ana, has a membership of 430, and it was due to the fact that the lodge's membership had grown to such proportions that it was decided to organize a second blue lodge here.
The new lodge was organized with a membership of twenty-five.
The men who will serve the lodge as its first officers are:

WOMAN ARRESTED IN LOS ANGELES FOR DEFYING COURT
Mrs. J. H. Zadeck, 708 Maple avenue, Los Angeles, will be brought into the justice court in Santa Ana today on a bench warrant, issued Thursday by Justice of the Peace Cox when she failed to appear as defendant in an action brought by W.G.Righter of Orange, who charges her with driving an automobile in a careless and reckless manner.
The alleged offense occurred January 21, last. Considerable time was spent there.

TRACTOR UPKEEP.
The upkeep of farm tractors will be discussed at the meeting of the Buena Park farm center tonight at the Buena Park school house. The meeting will be held at 7:30 o'clock and William Starbuck will have the principal paper. A report of the meeting of the farm bureau board of directors will be given by J. R. Scofield, one of the directors. Murray Horne will follow with an account of the farming conditions in the San Joaquin valley as observed by him on his trip with the state travelling conference. Music by local talent, will be a feature of the evening.
AVACODA PAPER.
Murray Horne will open his home to the members of the Yorba Linda farm center at their regular meeting tomorrow night at 7:30 o'clock. Interest in the meeting centers in the fact that the calef discussion will be relative to the establishment of a farm bureau department for the benefit of avocado growers. Yorba Linda is the center of the avocado growing industry and the discussion, led by the president and carried on by the members, promises to be most interesting. Music and entertainment will be furnished by women members of the center.
PIPE DEMONSTRATION
Ranchers of Orange county, many of whom have registered complaints in connection with concrete pipe, are much interested in the announcement that two demonstrations, in the manufacture of such pipe, would be held. Tomorrow at 2 p.m., a demonstration will be held at the E.W.Moore pipe yard, West Santa Fe street, Rullerton. Ranchers will be shown the distinguishing points in perfect concrete pipe and the proper methods to be used in the mixing and construction.

The alleged offense occurred January 21, last. Considerable time was spent in locating Mrs. Zadeck. She appeared in court May 31 when the case was scheduled to be tried.
Upon the plea that she did not have an attorney and had not been informed of the impending trial until a day before, Judge Cox continued the case.
Mrs. Zadeck understood that she was to appear last Wednesday after noon at 2 o'clock. She did not show up and the bench warrant was issued the following day.

GEORGIA MEETING
Folks from Georgia will picnic next Saturday at Sycamore Grove Park at a reunion under auspices of the Georgia State Society. Alabama folks have also been invited. A program is being arranged. Committees intend to make the event "the biggest ever."

Chief Jay W. Stevens will be the speaker of the day at the Kiwanis luncheon according to Secretary Messias of the Anaheim Kiwanis club and an exceptionally good program has been arranged to accompany the speaker of the day.
