The Men Behind It
In the past we have told you about the Lessors' Oil Company, their location and the wonderful possibilities for oil. Now with your permission let us tell you about the men who are behind the company—backing it for every ounce of energy within them.
The Lessors' Oil Company is being formed, directed and exploited by seven reputable business men, ranchers and oilmen. Men whose integrity is unquestionable and who have a conscience. Executives with brains and ability who own property and live in the midst of their operations.
DONALD A. WOODWARD, President. Mr. Woodward was secretary and treasurer of Woodward's Limited a million dollar mercantile corporation, Vancouver, until the outbreak of the world war. He volunteered and went to France, was wounded at Ypres, and after he was dismissed from the hospital a year later came to California for his health and purchased a ranch in Orange county where he is living today.
VINCENT K. CHANDLER, Vice-President, is a retired dentist from Delavan, Illinois. He is now making his home in Anaheim where he has purchased a thirty acre ranch.
CHARLES W. PETERS, Secretary, is a California man and a graduate of California University, operating one of the largest poultry ranches in Orange county, at Hansen Station.
RUDOLPH H. MEYER, Treasurer, is a retired merchant, and now a successful rancher in Buena Park, owning considerable property in this locality.
H. H. HAMMOND, Director; a retired merchant from Kansas, now owns and operates a ranch in Orange county.
W. H. CRITTON, Director; a successful oil man with seventeen years of practical experience in the oil fields of Texas, Oklahoma and California. He is now drilling for the Petroleum Midway Company.
W. O. Harshbarger, Director; a successful oil man
