SCHUMACHER-SCOTT
NUPTIALS SUNDAY
A very pretty yet simple wedding was solemnized Sunday, June 5, at the home of Mrs. Frank Gates when Miss Frances Schumacher became the bride of Fred Scott, both of this city.
Five minutes before the appointed hour Mrs. Gladys Llewellyn with Mrs. A. Kirby at the piano, sang a group of two songs, "O Promise Me" and "At Dawning." Promptly at 12 o'clock Mrs. Llewellyn at piano played Lohengrin's wedding march and Rev. F. W. Mitchell of the Cypress Park Presbyterian church of Los Angeles, farmer pastor of the Anaheim church, entered.
Little Billie Kirby, as ring bearer, then came in slowly followed by Mrs. Marle Mauerhan, sister of the bride, and William Schumacher, as best man, brother of the bride.
The bride entered with the bride-groom through the hallway. The bridal party stood under an arbor of ferns and carnations with a white wedding bell suspended from the center of a canopy. A delicious dinner was served in the dining room following the wedding.
Miss Schumacher made a charming picture in a gown of white silk net and satin with vell, which hung to the hem of her dress. caught with a crown of orange blossoms. Her only ornament was a string of pears, the

The bride entered with the bride-groom through the hallway. The bridal party stood under an arbor of ferns and carnations with a white wedding bell suspended from the center of a canopy. A delicious dinner was served in the dining room following the wedding.
Miss Schumacher made a charming picture in a gown of white silk net and satin with vell, which hung to the hem of her dress, caught with a crown of orange blossoms. Her only ornament was a string of pears, the gift of the groom. She carried a shower bouquet of white carnations and malden hair fern tied with white tulle and baby ribbon.
The matron of honor was dressed in a dainty frock of green organdy with a large white georgette hat to match. She carried a bouquet of pink carnations and ferns. The mother of the bride was gowned in a simple costume of steel gray silk.
The parlor was beautifully decorated with streamers of white crepe paper and fern from the corners of the room to the chandelier. The long table was centered with baskets of large pink and white carnations and maiden hair fern. Place cards and favors were carried out in the same color scheme.
Covers were laid for Mr. and Mrs. Fred Scott, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Gates, mother of the bride, Mr. and Mrs. C. Mauerhan, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Lautenback, Mr. William Schumacher, brother and sisters of the bride, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Gates, Mr. and Mrs. M. G. Aunlauf, Irving Gates, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Kirby, sister of the groomb, Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Huggins of Bakersfield, aunt and uncle of the groom, Mrs. Marie Tucker of Stockton, aunt of the bride, Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Dwyer, cousin of the bride, Rev. and Mrs. Mitchell of Los Angeles, Mrs. Ida DeVinney, Mrs. Gladys Llewellyn, Miss Myra Field of Garvanza, and Lloyd Shrode.
The wedding cakes, prepared by Mrs. Mauerhan and Mr. Lautenbach, were decorated in French style with one having the friendship handclasp figure used thirty years ago on the wedding cake of the bride's mother.
The young couple left from Fullerton-for a short honeymoon at Catalina island. Mrs. Scott wore a pretty traveling costume of dark blue tricoline with gray hat. Upon their return the latter part of the week they will reside in the Philadelphia court.
Miss Schumacher is the youngest daughter of Mrs. Frank Gates, and is well known among the young people of the city. Mr. Scott has been in the employ of the Lieb Electric Company for some time and has acquired many business friends here.
