T. Lyon Realty Co. s Angeles St. Anaheim, Calif. —By POP MOMAND HE WAS PRACTISING THE HARP. ALL NIGHT ON THE BED RAILS! Comment on Today's News By HENRY JAMES A paper that for years has sought to stir up ill feelings in apparent hop-of leading to war with Japan, announces that the Japanese are building two mightiest war vessels. These are to outclass anything known to the navies of the world. The cost each is given as $38,000,000, which is a land of cheap labor would mean the American equivalent of a much larger sum. The easy, natural and correct view to take of these allegations that they are untrue. Probably there is no foundation for them in fact. Reds are said to be trying to stir up mutiny in the French army. Doubtless the report is correct. They are trying to stir it up wherever there is opportunity, and the French army is not likely to be immune to the poison. Mme. Curie is received in this country with distinguished honors. On of the most notable persons in the world for scientific achievement, she is exceedingly modest, declining to regard her reception as an individual tribute. England's coal strike has caused lack of employment in many lines of industrial activity. It is said that should the strike continue, 150,000 workers will soon be added to the number who are out of work. Meanwhile there is a total absence of imitation that the strike is accomplish anything for the strikers themselves.
