$1000 SLIPPER IS IN ANAHEIM TODAY WANT CINDERELLA
Mrs. Lannie Haynes Martin and the Los Angeles Examiner's $1,000 slipper of gold is in Anaheim today, and the slipper is being displayed at the S. Q. R. store. Mrs. Martin is receiving contestants at the Valencia hotel.
O. W. Renner of the S. Q. R. store announced this afternoon that the S. Q. R. store will give a pair of slippers to the Anaheim girl or woman who registers the most nearly perfect foot with Mrs. Martin or who sends the measurement of her foot to the Los Angeles Examiner before the contest closes.
The best pair of slippers in the S. Q. R. store awaits the Anaheim woman or girl whose foot is more nearly perfect than anyone else in this city.
The slipper being displayed has caused considerable interest all over Southern California, where Mrs. Martin has visited. The contest will close some time next week. The Examiner has been looking for the most perfect foot in Southern California for "Cinderella's Coronation" ball to be held at the Cinderella Roof at the close of the contest.
Bert Lytell, motion picture star, is ahead in the contest for the role of Prince Charming. G. T. Prince of the Examiner is here with Mrs. Martin today, carrying on the work of exploiting the $1,000 slipper and hunting for Cinderella.
Come Sunday morning at 9:30 and bring some one with you to increase the attendance to the goal set for May 22. The mottos of these classes are "Never a stranger but once."
After becoming a member the secret of the meeting on the twenty-seventh will be revealed and every member will be in on the good time.
