CITY AND COUNTY Orange buyers are paying 2 1/2 cents per pound for Valencias. A bonus is paid by some buyers for fancy stock. Many growers and dealers are surprised at the demand for havel stock. Eastern markets appear short in supplies of choice navel shipments and good prices are offered for good stock. — Anaheim Post American Legion gives a dance every Friday evening in Pressel's hall. CITY AND COUNTY Thaddeus Carpenter, alleged deserter from the navy, was taken to San Pedro yesterday afternoon, and was delivered to the authorities there by local officers.
