West opened a diamond,
East took the first two tricks,
that suit. South ruffled the diamond with a high trump,
three rounds of trumps, and nessed the queen of hearts.
This lost, and South even lost another heart trick. It was over very quickly, and South practically no pain. He never that he had a much better play his contract.
Declarer couldn't tell who the king of hearts. East have made his overcall of one mond with just the strong monds and no side strength. East had opened the bidding one diamond, marking the king hearts and the top diamond his bid, declarer's best play be to lead out the ace of h and then a low heart.
Play on Fear
Since South doesn't know has the king of hearts, his chance is to play on the end fear. Declarer draws three rows of trumps, ending in the dund and then leads a low heart dummy.
If East has the singleton k hearts, he must play it. If has the doubleton king of h will he have the courage to low? Even if East does have courage, will he do so w giving himself away?
These questions are easy to swear. Lead the low heart dummy, and all but one East er in a million will rise to the by playing the king of hearts you have no further problem.
If East falls to put up the hearts, you must plan to later on. If the finesse were MAGIC HOLIDAY in MEXICO

New Point Card System To Be Demonstrated
A new innovation for bridge players will be demonstrated at the Broadway Orange County next week, it was just announced.
Maurice Freedman will demonstrate the first change in the face of playing cards in 75 years in the stationary department Monday from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Bridge players who are handicapped by not being calculating machines should be particularly interested in the new type of cards.
Freedman devised the idea of putting point-count value on the face of high cards while serving as a systems analyst in the Canadian Navy.
