Orange Couple Sues For La Habra Accident SANTA ANA (OCNS) — An orange man and his wife are plaintiffs in a $100,000 personal injury case on file in superior court today. C. H. Robinson and his wife Ada May, 544 N. Classel, claim they were both seriously hurt in two-car crash April 20 of last year on Hacienda and Valley Blvd near La Habra. Named as defendants in the case are Maraget Anderson, reported the owner of the second vehicle involved in the collision, and Jillie Dale Hodges, who was driving the car. Skunk-Fur Toupee Gives Him 'Class' MEMPHIS, Tenn. (UPI) — Salesman Paul Bishop's new toupee gives him that "distinguished" look, with the white streaks in the dark hair adding just the right touch. It all started when Bishop kiddled co - worker Pearl Thompson about her new fur jacket. Bishop remarked that the jacket looked like skunk fur, and he needed a toupee of the same material to keep his bald head warm. Miss Thompson spoke to a furrisr, who agreed to make the headpiece. Then she measured Bishop's head. He, of course, thought she was joking. But when she brought the new skunk - fur toupee to the office and put it on Bishop's head, the joke was on him. Oregon to Enter California Jumping Frog Event PENDLETON — Things will be jumping here — frogs at least — on May 1. That's when the Oregon Centennial Jumping Frog contest will be held in Pendleton. The winner will be entered in the famous Jumping Frog Jubilee at Angels Camp, Calif. The Oregon event is sponsored by the Pendleton Roundup Association and the Pendleton Chamber of Commerce. The contest will be held at 6 p.m. on Main Street. Plans for the contest were announced by Ford Robertson. Chamber of Commerce representative. "May 1 will be a big day in Pendleton," he declared. "The jumping frog champion of Oregon will be selected and started on the way to Angels Camp where the national contest opens May 14." Robertson claims that Pendleton area frogs, although they have never performed professionally, are the finest jumpers in America. "The world's jumping record is only 16 feet nine inches," Robertson added. "We've got frogs on the banks of the Umatilla river that can jump that far without half trying." Robertson also explained that all Oregon frogs are eligible. "We'll even provide frogs for persons desiring to enter the Cen-tennial contest," he said. "Of course there will be a small fee." Anne Buchanan Bates is asking the court for damages of $10,225 for injuries received in a fall at Disneyland April 20, 1958. The woman claims she fell while attempting to board a boat at the Anaheim amusement center. She reportedly landed on her side, head, shoulders, and hip, it is explained. Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park is the defendant in a $15,000 suit filed by Helen K. Corrington. The plaintiff claims she stumbled and fell on a sidewalk outside of the basket shop.
