The display will open its doors at 2 p.m. and close at 5 p.m. Presetions for FJC Annual Education Day Nearly Complete Preparations for the annual Business Education Day at Fullerton Junior College are nearing completion, according to Alva Straw, chairman of the college Business Education Division. Business Education Day this year has been set for Wednesday, April 22, and will start with a breakfast in the new junior college cafeteria at 7:45 a.m. Students and faculty will be seated with businessmen for the breakfast. After the 250 invited guests at the breakfast have been fed, a style show of business clothes will be presented by Mrs. Mary Chapman's merchandising students. A series of awards for top students within their various departments will be given at this time. Cliff Haskell, vice-president of Alpha Beta Foods, will close the breakfast program, speaking on the theme for the day. "Selling Yourself in Business." Discussion Fields Following the breakfast there will be panel discussions in the fields of accounting, business administration and general business, general office, and secretarial science. All business students and faculty will close the day by leaving on buses for the annual Southern California Office Machines Show at the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles. A new feature this year will be the hosting of four or five outstanding senior business education students from each of the neighboring high schools. Approximately 45 students and faculty shared in planning for Business Day, and students will be featured as masters of ceremonies and panel moderators. Each part of the program is under the direction of an instructor; but students, faculty, and members of the Advisory Committees have all worked together in planning the program. Bulletin—A-5 Pension To Turn Church Work Over to Natives of Asia CASSELS International The most significant Christianity will next week when Protestant misdle East goes out will be celebrated borneed. For it is work — as well and property—to Christian church. Any in Beirut next S. Presbyterians nationalists will surover a million dol-churches, hospitals including two colthey have built inanon under a jointart begun in 1823. On Job American missionaries to these institutions will remain on the job, but they will henceforth be "fraternal workers" under the authority of the National Evangelical Synod of Syria and Lebanon. The United Presbyterian Church in the U.S.A. and the Congregationalist Board of Foreign Missions will continue to give financial support to the work in Syria and Lebanon, but it will be channeled through the native church. The change-over is the latest of a series of such moves by major U. S. Protestant bodies. Similar transfers of mission personnel and property have previously taken place in India, Japan, Thailand, The Philippines, Cameroun, and several other areas of Asia and Africa. Behind this trend is a conviction that Christianity needs a bold new concept of its global mission if it is to make any headway against the strong nationalist tide running in Asia and Africa. Takes Long Time In many countries, the Christian Gospel is being rejected because it is identified as an "export" of the Western white man. There is a growing disposition among Asians and Africans to guard American-controlled foreign missions as a form of "spiritual imperialism." A century of missionary effort has succeeded, however, in planting native Christian churches in nearly every country of Asia and Africa. These indigenous churches are weak in membership, resources and trained clergy. But many of them are fired by a zeal for the Christian faith that the pastors of U. S. churches would dearly love to see equalled in their own congregations. BETHEL BAPTIST CHURCH KE 5-2550 Broadway at Lemon "The Singing Church" H. John Vanderbeck, Pastor Menno Thiesen, S.S.
