Anaheim Men's 'Y' Club Officers Installed New Anaheim Men's Club officers were formally installed by James Abrecht, District Governor, and the club district installation manager Habra High School Saturday evening. The new Anaheim officers include James Reed, president; Jack Kahle and William Schaeffer, vice presidents; Orlo Fast, secretary; and Kenneth Lawrence, treasurer. They will begin their duties at the club meeting scheduled for Monday, at the YMCA. According to Bob Flickinger, outgoing president, the Monday meeting will feature Frank Still well and Don Langson, both Anaheim businessmen, who will report on a motorcycle trip to Santa Rosa Lia; Baja, California. The U.S. Investors Wary Of Federal Bond Trade WASHINGTON (PCNF) — Following a pattern predicted by financial experts, the threat of inflation is making U. S. bonds less attractive to investors. Normally, when the government offers higher-yield bonds in trade for a maturing issue, approximately 94 per cent of the bondholders jump at the chance to get these new securities. When the Treasury offered higher-yield paper for a recently maturing $14,900,000.00 issue, double the usual number of bondholders "wanted out" and demanded cash instead of the new bonds. Explanation: stocks and other investments look like a better inflation hedge. CUT RATE HAIRCUTS 1.25 WHY PAY MORE? Topper's Barber Shop Rail Road & S. Los Angeles Bl. (Market Basket) Dog-Tag by GEORGE COMROE PR 4-4850 All you dog owners, and all your folks that love a really hilarious movie, don't miss seeing Disney's "The Shaggy Dog." Two-year-old Shaggy, the English Sheepdog, is owned by Mrs. Anderson of Rialto. She trains the dog through one of Bill Koehler's novice obedience classes. Then, early last July, Bill began training the dog for the movie Production began a month later and the movie was finished by the end of the year. It's amazing that Bill Koehler can accomplish such excellence of training in such short time. He was required, incidentally, to keep another dog standing by, just in case; but the other dog was not used in the picture. Another peculiar aspect—a man got was actually hired, to many of the scenes in a dog suit but they found Shaggy could fit the scenes better. Bill Koehler and his "movie partner, Hal Driscoll, also own and train Asta (actually three dogs) of the television Thin M series, and Bill also trains R Rogers' dog Bullet. Bill currently is in charge of animal procurement for the picture 'Toby Tyler. Bill is known to be one of the really great dog trainers around and he's been around quite a while. Over 10 years ago, I took my first dog through obedience in Bill classes. Obedience training is fun—for the entire family, including the dog. There are a number of obedience classes here in Orange County and you'll enjoy joining one them. Very inexpensive, too. The eight-day trek starts from here May 2. This announcement came today from El Presidente Larry Lane. (Sunset) magazine publisher and horseman, and the manager of the hard-riding outfit, Ramrod Horace Rupp. Two-star generals, corporation presidents, business executives and ranch owners will rub elbows with cowpokes during the trek and will love the vacation as they have since 1930. The RV is made up of 20 camps. New this year will be the Maverick Camp where all first-year guests will assemble. There will be 70 mavericks and their camp captain will be Stewart Abercrombie of Camarillo. The members and guests will come from 40 states of the Union and from Canada, Hawaii and Argentina. This year the trek will start from Santa Barbara following a dress parade appearance and program in front of the Santa Barbara Mission. On May 3 the horsemen, in saddles, buckboards and old stage-coaches will ride over the San Rafael mountains and then will wind down the valley of the Santa Ynez River, reliving the days when ranchers went visiting when the spring harvest was gathered. They will stop at many famous ranches on the way to their headquarters camp near the little town of Santa Ynez. The day before they break camp they will stage their second dress parade — to Mission Santa Ines at Solvang. Obesity in the Aged HARTFORD, Conn. (UPI)—Dr. Gilbert Mellion of the Connecticut State Dental Association said "one of the causes of obesity" among older persons "is the lack of sufficient natural teeth or replacements to chew property."
