Yugoslavia Is Scene Of 1959 World's Wine Fair LONDON (UPI) — The fifth International Wine Fair at Ljubljana, capital of Yugoslavia, will be held this year from Aug. 28 to Sept. 6, according to an announcement here by Dr. William Teltscher, senior foreign member of the International Wine Tasting Commission. Another international wine competition has been slated for May in Langenlois, Austria. Newport Bay Dredge Job Extended Three Months SANTA ANA (OCNS) — The county has granted a dredging contract a three-month extension for dredging a portion of upper Newport Bay adjacent to Newport Dunes. Bulletin—A-B Congressional Watchdog Says Air Force Goofed WASHINGTON (UPI) — The General Accounting Office has accused the Air Force of agreeing to pay a California firm "excessive" prices for producing drift-meter navigational aids. The GAO, Congress' watch dog on government spending, said the price of Air Force contracts with Friden, Inc., San Leandro, was cut by $374,205 after it examined them. But it said further savings might have been made if Air Force contracting officials "had exercised their option to request a second price redetermination" on one contract. The GAO report to Congress dealt chiefly with 1956 and 1957 contracts with Friden to produce 764 driftmeters at a total price of $1,752,652.
