Sight-seeing in Washington, Oregon and Canada contributed to a marvelous vacation enjoyed by the Troy Days, and daughter Bonnie. On the return trip, a stop over was made at Mt. Homeward-bound they came down the coast way, stopping along the way for fishing, of which they encountered very good luck.
Old time Yorba Lindans will be interested to know that they stopped overnight at Cambria, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. M. A. Bridges. The Bridges were one of the original settlers here in Yorba Linda and Mrs. Bridges is a charter member of our Womans Club. They are well and active, having just returned from a visit with their daughter, Dorothy Lownes, now of Douglas City on the Trinity river, where the new highway, No. 299 is going in.
Mrs. Jean Shaw, and children, and Mrs. Wes Mole, and family, enjoyed a cool day at the beach on Thursday. Riding the waves and a picnic lunch were the high-spots of the day.

Tract Map Held Up When Street Name Stumps Councilmen
BUENA PARK — City Councilmen wished for a dictionary during their regular meeting Tuesday night when the meaning of a street name came up while acting on a tentative tract map.
Councilmen, in reivewing the proposed street names for the subdivision, came across a street bearing the name "Arborvitae." When the Council members required as to the definition of the word, a representative for the subdivider explained that the tract was located in a section of the city where it had been decided to name streets for trees. So Arborvitae must be some kind of tree or bush.
The Council decided a more common name was in order for the proposed street and voted to hold the tentative map over until their next meeting so a new name could be selected. The tract representative offered no objection to the delay.
Orange Planners Okay Six Housing Tracts

Defer Decision On Boundaries of Dairyland City
SANTA ANA, (OCNS) — Decision on boundaries for the proposed city of Dairyland west of Buena Park will be made at 2:30 p.m. next Tuesday, the County Board of Supervisors emphasized Tuesday afternoon.
Supervisor Ralph McFadden said that "it might be a good idea if attorneys from all sides were present because it's going to be a legal problem."
Board Chairman Willis Warner observed: "If they're interested they'll be here."
Several property owners have asked their acreage be excluded from the proposed sixth class city, Buena Park also has urged that Walker St. No. 1 annexation be carved out of the projected city.
Proponents claim deletion of all acres asked would ruin the planned city.
Boundaries as approved by the County Boundaries Commission take in approximately two and one-half square miles. As soon as the supervisors determine the boundaries an election date can be set.
