[Image of a woman in a wedding dress with a veil]. PINK AND WHITE—Lovely in a gown of portrait styling Miss Marilyn Schimming became the bride of Bill Guss from Long Beach in an eight o'clock evening ceremony at the Grace Lutheran church. (Arsene photo) Eight O'Clock Rites Read For Marilyn Schimming, Bill Guss Saturday night at eight o'clock Miss Marilyn Schimming, wearing a portrait gown of palest pink embroidered nylon tulle over white satin was given in marriage by her Nather, Henry A. Schimming, as she stood at the altar of the Grace Lutheran church to repeat vows with Bill Guss of Long Beach. Officiant was the Rev. Harry F. Stief with double ring nuptials, read. Created with the influence of a Paris designer the bride's dress was exquisite with its queenly collar accented by the pale pink satin in brocaded flowers. This detail was repeated at neckline to the bodice, the fitted waist, shoulder and wrist on long pointed sleeves, with the embroidered flowers also enhancing the loveliness of the floor length bouffant skirt. Elbow length, and silk illusion net veil fell from a matching embroidered cap, beautifully trimmed with sequins and pearls. She carried a cascade of stephanotis arranged with a huge white orchid, which she later wore as a corsage on her honeymoon costume. Bridegroom's Gift Adorning the neckline of the sheer yoke of Miss Schimming's gown was a single strand of matched pearls, a gift from her bridegroom. She wore a watch borrowed from a close friend, Mrs. Donald Mauerhan, which originallyically designed from nylon dotted Swiss over crisp and swishing pink taffeta. Ballerina in length the gowns were further styled with the portrait neckline, to the snug bodice, the shirt, fashioned with row on row of the pleated nylon tulle. Their head-dresses were in the pink shade. Young Miss Lois Schimming, sister of the bride, was the junior bridegroom. Her older brother of pink nylon dotted Swiss over taffeta had a quaint touch with its pointed collar and short puff sleeves edged in pink and white embroidery. There was a wide band at the hemline of the shirt and her head band was in the matching pink color. Miss Lutz carried pink roses in her bouquet with other attendants bouquets formed from white gamellias tinted in pastel pink. Niece of the bridegroom, Margaret Heinz, her formal frock identical to the junior attendant's, was the flower girl. Her white basket was filled with pink blossoms and as she left the church at the end of the ceremony she walked with Master Mark Stief, who had served as ring bearer. Ugene Guss of Long Beach attended to groomsman duties for his brother and ushering was by Donald Mauerhan, Erland Eberhard and Lowell Fickle. Pink. White Decorations A dress created from pale lace and linen was worn by the bride's mother as she her husband stood with the newly-weds in receiving line at the reception. Her hat was of white feathers and her accessories in blue and white Gardenias and stephanotis form her corsage. Mrs. U. C. Guss, mother of bridegroom, also chose a blue lace and linen dress for the occasion; her corsage created from gardenias and stephanotis. Also sent was the grandmother of bride, Mrs. Ray Walter from Hershey. She wore a printed Freescale design from nylon dotted Swiss over crisp and swishing pink taffeta.
