A short time later, the girl was released from jail. She was never brought to court and the case was publicly dismissed “in the interest of justice.”
The arrest records and case files, used during the time the Sheriff’s office wanted to build up, the fake criminal record, were returned to the girl amid voluminous thanks by-the Sheriff’s office.
Ostracised by Friends
Now, her neighbors, who had only previously suspected narcotics, practically ostracised the agent from cordiality. She was a "narcotics addict" — she even went to jail." Life became almost unbearable. But unbearable as it was, the girl continued her valued work for another year, living amidst the hate of her former friends. And even though she no longer had friends, she now had the complete faith and confidence of area peddlers. They started her on an amazing social whirl amidst their nightmare world of horror.
But as wide as her circle of circumstances among the narcotics addicts grew, it was constantly diminishing. Most of those she met eventually wound up in jail—all of them still wondering where they slipped up, how the police got the evidence

Proposed Zoning Changes Taken Under Submission
SANTA ANA (OCNS) — Two proposed zoning changes — maps C-67 and C-97 — were taken under submission by the County Planning Commission Wednesday afternoon after public hearings were held on each.
C-97 would change from R-1 7200, single family residential, to R2D, two-family residence district, the property located on both sides of Clinton street, between Trask avenue and a point 330 feet north of the center line of Westminster avenue, Garden Grove.
C-67 would see about 750 acres switched from A-1, general agriculture, and R-4, suburban residential, to R-1, the area bounded by Lampson avenue, Nelson street and a line running parallel to and approximately 1050 feet west of Eucldid avenue and a line running parallel to and 660 feet north of Orangewood avenue and West street. The corner of Eucldid and Chapman would be zoned commercial, with minimum restrictions.
Objections were lodged against both proposed changes. Planner George Raney remarked: "I appreciate the problems to the people. I know some of them. The area is growing rapidly. A change to R-1 seems ridiculous to me. I move the plan be referred back to the staff for a revision."
A report was asked by the staff within 30 days.
Cris Sollas spoke out against the R2D classification. He said he and other property owners

were led to believe that their land would either be placed in R4 or R2 classification. He was strongly opposed to the R2D zone.
The staff was asked to come up with a new report on the C-97 map.
