OUR ANAHEIM SERVICEMEN By John Dyer Cadet Rel E. Schmitt, 21, son of Walter A. Schmitt, 747 N. Claudina St., is now attending a 28 day Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps summer en campment at Mathew Air Force Base, California. Schmitt, a graduate of Anaheim Union High School, is a political science major at Occidental College, a three year letterman in track, and also holds the rank of Cadet Captain in the AFROTC detachment. Upon graduation from Occidental, he will receive a commission as a second lieutenant in the United States Air Force. Schmitt is being trained at Mather AFB in military fundamentals, officer orientation, weapons, marksmanship, aircrew and aircraft indoctrination and organization and function of an air force base. Camp Pendelton, Marine Pfc. William F. Mulcahy, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Mulcahy, 200 W. Hill Avenue, participated recently in amphibious training exercises conducted by the First Marine Division's 5th Regiment off the coast of Southern California.
