You Get What You Pay For
One of the basic and irrevocable laws of economics is that we get no more and no less than what we pay for. This law applies to the purchase not only of food, clothing, and shelter but also of pharmaceuticals.
Because we know that there is no natural market for inferior or "cheap" medicine, we maintain a supply of pharmaceuticals that are as fine as can be obtained. Therefore, we are prepared at all times to fill your physician's prescriptions with ingredients of the highest quality.
FULLERTON (OCNS)–Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Eudaly Chapel, Orange, for Leo E. Armstrong, 77, who died at Ames, Iowa, Saturday.
Armstrong was known as “The Melon King,” in Iowa. He was also well known in Orange County for he had spent the winter months here for many years. He was a member of the Orange Elks Lodge.

Fullerton Man Hurt In Unexplained Mishap
John Delbert McAllister, 22, 1521 W. Malvern street, Fullerton, is in Long Beach Naval Hospital today as the result of injuries incurred last night in an unexplained accident at 10:49 near the intersection of North and Los Angeles streets.
A witness told police that McAllister’s car slowly rode over the curb on the right side of the street, heading south on Los Angeles, and came to a stop near a gas pump at the station on the northwest corner of North and Los Angeles streets. The occupant, police quoted the witness, then opened the door and fell out of the car.
Mrs. William T. Allison, Jr. said today that she was no less baffled than police, only added that as far as she was able to learn, her son, John, had fallen from the car in an effort to close the door after it flew open following his turning a curve.
STORAGE YARD OKAYED
SANTA ANA (OCNS)–The County Board of Supervisors gave the Pacific Coast Boring Co. permission to establish a contractor's equipment storage and maintenance yard on the west side of La Salle St. about 190 south of Crescent, Cypress.

Mrs. Hobby Quits Post As Health Secretary

dedicated and selfless with their time and energy."
A Sad Day
She lauded President Eisenhower's "strength, vision and leadership." She also praised her Cabinet colleagues and the men and women in her department as "public servants of a high order."
Mrs. Hobby's resignation was announced under blazing movie floodlights in the White House conference room just outside the President's office. Mr. Eisenhower, looking quite grave, escorted Mrs. Hobby into the room.
As the President settled down in a big armchair, he turned to Mrs. Hobby and said "Ovets, this is a sad day."
He recalled their first meeting in 1942 in London when Mrs. Hobby was head of the Women's Army Corps.
He went on to praise her for having devoted her talents in the Cabinet to the benefit of the country "most effectively."
Mrs. Hobby later told reporters that she informed the President in January that she would have to leave the government. Asked whether the polio vaccine controversy, which did not begin until months later, "forced" her out, she said, "nothing could be further from the truth."
Conservative Democrat
It was an emotional leave-taking for the handsome 50-year-old woman, a conservative Democrat who supported President Eisenhower in his campaign for the White House.
After Mr. Eisenhower praised Mrs. Hobby so warmly, she was visibly moved as she responded.
Looking mostly at the chief executive, but sometimes into the camera lenses, Mrs. Hobby said that her 31 months in government had given her an unmatched opportunity "to serve a man who has devoted his entire life to the service of the United States."
She reviewed the administration accomplishments in her field, paying particular attention to the improvement in the pension system which she said is due to Eisenhower policies strengthening the dollar.
Then she turned to the forthcoming Big Four meeting next week and said:
"As you go to Geneva for all of us, I believe everyone will be praying that there in that meeting the first step will be taken toward a truly universal peace."
GETS APPROVAL

untimely death of this child."
However, there is reason rejoicing because this child wished to heaven and is a saint," he said.
The parents, Mr. and Mrs. Davis, wept as they cried out of the church. The father held his arm around their other daughter, Mary, 11, and the mother arm around their son, Timothy.
The palibearers, all boys, were from Mary's classroom at Boniface School.
Donna was buried in a lambskin casket lined with ivy crepe. A red bathrobe, bonnet white gloves covered the abrasion on her tiny body. The casket closed at the request of parents.
