EE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BUENA PARK: 1. That, pursuant to the provisions of the "Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939", a petition signed by owners of not less than one-fourth of the land in the hereinafter described territory by area and by assessed value as shown on the last equalized assessment report of the County of Orange, was filed with the Council of the City of Buena Park on the 10th day of June, 1955, requesting annexation of the hereinafter described territory to said City; that said territory which said petitioners request be annexed to the City of Buena Park and which said City and its Council propose to annex to the City of Buena Park is situate in the County of Orange, State of California, hereby designated, "Orange Avenue Annexation No. 1", and described on the attached Exhibit "A", which Exhibit is included in this resolution and made a part hereof. 2. That the County Boundary Commission of Orange County, California did in such duly satisfied on the 16th day of May, 1955, said center line to a line northerly 40 feet, measured at right angles, from City of Buena Park and which said City and its Council propose to annex to the City of Buena Park is situate in the County of Orange, State of California, hereby designated, "Orange Avenue Annexation That the 9th day of August, 1955, at the hour of 8:30 o'clock P.M. of said date in the Council Chambers in the City Hall in the City of Buena Park, County of Orange, California, is hereby fixed as the time and place when and where any person owning real property within the uninhabited territory above described and proposed to be annexed to the City of Buena Park and having any objections to the proposed annexation may appear before the Council of the City of Buena Park and show cause why uninhabited territory would not be so annexed to said City of Buena Park. Such protest must be in writing, may be filed at any time before the hour set for hearing objections to the proposed annexation, and shall state the name or names of the owner or owners of property affected and the description and area of such property in general terms. 4. The City Clerk of the City of Buena Park is hereby authorized and directed to cause a copy of this resolution to be published at last twice, but not fewer than once a week, in the Buena Park News, a newspaper of general circulation published in said City of Buena Park, the city to which it is proposed to annex the aforesaid territory, and also in the Anaheim Bulletin, a newspaper of general circulation published outside of the City of Buena Park, but in the County of Orange, California, the county in which is located the territory proposed to be annexed to the City of Buena Park, said publication to be complete at least twenty (20) days prior to the date set for hearing.
