Knights of Pythias Moves to Anaheim Knights of Pythias, of Buena Park, will move to Anaheim and first meeting, July 13, will be in the Odd Fellows Hall, 325 W. Center. The Royer Lodge is named in honor of General Jules O. Royer, once an active figure in the political and business life of southern California and more particularly Anaheim. The Royer chapter of the Pythias lodge originally planned settling in Anaheim, but existing facilities made it necessary to open the local chapter in Buena Park, September 1953. Meetings of the Anaheim Knights of Pythias will take place on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month. Charles K. Eaton, Financial Secretary, said today that all former members are welcome and prospective members are encouraged to call him at KE 5-5813. Knights of Pythias is the oldest chartered paternal organization in the United States, receiving its national charter from Congress shortly after the assassination Abraham Lincoln in 1865.
