FJC Summer School Registration Opens An attractive brochure announcing summer session classes at Pullerton Junior college is now available to the public. It was designed by Allan B. Hall, art instructor. Registration for summer school are June 21 to June 25 inclusive, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. daily in the adult education office on the high school campus. Classes begin on Monday, June 28. Students at summer school, said John Reid, principal, may earn as much as eight units of college credit or ten semester credits of high school work. The same courses are offered as are given in the regular school year, but the work to be accomplished packed into six or eight weeks, hence calling for concentrated study of from six to eight hours per day. In order to be given credit for a course, continued Reid, students must be in attendance at least ninety percent of the time the class meets. Listed in the summer session brochure are courses in business, English, engineering, language, life science mathematics, physical science and social science for college credit, and in business, English, history, mathematics, science, driver education, health education, health education, and speech correction for high school credit. The printed summer school schedule may be obtained at the adult education office, or will be mailed upon request. Further information concerning summer courses may be had by calling Lambert 5-2334, Extension 4. Interior Decorating Theme of Magnolia Study Club Juniors Magnolia Junior Study club members, at their June meeting in the home of Mrs. James Benson on Stanton Avenue, heard Raymond J. Lenz of Santa Ana tell of many helpful ideas in interior decoration. Colored slides of interiors of homes were shown illustrating how to get certain results in home decoration. Mrs. Lewis Pope was named as chairman of the men's dinner in the fall, with Mrs. Richard Cramer and Mrs. Marvin Bates appointed to assist her. Mrs. Donald Hein was appointed chairman of the by-laws revision committee. Assisting Mrs. Benson in entertaining were Mrs. Gordon Swoffer and Mrs. Croydon Burnette. MEMBERSHIP SOARS Membership in the United Lutheran Church in America reached a record high of 2,143,020 during 1953, an increase of 2.8 percent over the previous year. Dr. P. Eppling Reinartz, church secretary, announced. Reports from 34 constituent synods in 44 states and the seven Canadian provinces, Provinces, Puerto Rico, Hawaii and the Virgin Islands, showed the number baptized as 2,143,020. Crusaders to Sing Over KCOP Sunday evening June 20, the Junior Crusaders' Choir from the Anaheim First Presbyterian church will sing "Let All Things Now Living," a Welsh traditional melody on the Church Talent Show, KCOP (Channel 13) at 10:00 p.m. The choir was selected by Vern Vihlenea producer of the Church Talent Show. Mrs. Sloop of Anaheim is director of the choir. The Church Talent Show provides an interesting opportunity for the fine talent to be found in local churches to make an appearance before the vast TV audience, as each features five or six participants who have not appeared before on television. Viewers are invited to send a letter or card to Church Talent Show KCOP, Hollywood 28 and cast their votes for the participants they enjoy most. Winners receive a gift and an opportunity to appear again at a later date. The Rev. Roland W. Anderson is pastor at the First Presbyterian Church of Anaheim.
