Los Angeles Street Anaheim, CA Women carrie lou sutherland – editor Helen Louis Weir, Charles Lee Sitton Wed Nuptials Read at Capilla de San Antonio At 4:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon Miss Helen Louise Weir, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James R. Weir of 10831 South Harbor Blvd., approached the altar at the Capilla de San Antonio with her father and said her marriage vows with Charles Lee Sitton. The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Robert Kevorkian of the First Baptist church of this city. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Sitton of El Monte, formerly of Santa Ana. The nuptial rites culminated a romance which started during campus when the young couple attended Santa Ana college. The lovely beauty of the bride was only equalled by the exquisiteness of her wedding gown of imported Chantilly lace and nylon net worn over heavy white satin, the full skirt cascading into the full court train. The delicate lace was fashioned into the bodice with the low shoulder neck outline, deeply scalloped, offset by the slightly fitted long pointed sleeves and the filmy illusion veil. It was held to her hair with a pearled coronet and fell to her finger-tips. She carried a rhinstone - studded Chantilly lace fan, held with a white orchid surrounded by palest of pink Cecil Brunner rosebuds and stephanotis. It was tied with white satin streamers knotted with pink tinted stephanotis. Carries Heirloom Hanky Her sentimental accents were in true tradition with "Something old," an heirloom handkerchief brought over from Germany by her great grandmother. A coin in her slipper, the blue garter and an anklet borrowed from a cousin further insured her happiness. The young couple stood before an altar banked with arrangements of white gladioli, stock, lark-spur and shrub palms. Candlelighters were Miss Pattissue Sitton, sister of the bridegroom, and Master Gary Underwood of Santa Ana, cousin of the bride. Mrs. Lloyd Stehling of Bell, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. She was charming in her gown fashioned from the sheerest of lavender nylon net over matching taffeta, her head - dress a daisy hat and her nosegay designed from lavender, pink and yellow sweet peas. Cousins are Bridesmaids Miss JoAnn Underwood of Santa Ana, Mrs. Wayne Grebel of Fontana, and Mrs. Werner Anderson of Santa Ana, all cousins of the bride, attended her as bridesmaids. Their gowns were identical to the matron of honor's with the exception of the pastel pink tone. Their hats were also fashioned from daisies and they carried pink, lavender and yellow sweet pea nosegays.
