LEGAL NOTICE
ORDINANCE NO. 592
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AMENDING ARTICLE VII CHAPTER 5 OF THE ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL CODE BY ADDING THEREOF SECTIONS $500.17 to $500.28, BOTH INCLUSIVE.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1
That Article VIII Chapter 5 of the Anaheim Municipal Code be, and the same is hereby amended by the addition thereto of new sections to be numbered $500.17 to $500.24, both inclusive, reading as follows, to wit:
Section $500.17.
It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to move from any point outside the City Limits or the City of Anaheim any old house, building or structure of any kind or description onto any property or lot in the City Limits of the City of Anaheim.
Section $500.18.
The City Council does hereby declare that the moving of old or new structures or buildings or homes from a point outside of the City of Anaheim onto lots or other property in the City of Anaheim is amenable to public health, peace, welfare and safety of the citizens of the City of Anaheim.
Section $500.19. House Mover's Permit.
No person shall move any building or structure, or portion thereof from one point within the City Limits of the City of Anaheim to another point within the City Limits of the City of Anaheim, upon, along or across any street until a permit so do it first had and obtained. Such permit shall be called a "House Mover's Permit."
Section $500.20. Building Inspector's Permit Required - Relocation Permit.
No House Mover's Permit shall be issued until the Building Inspector has first issued to the owner of the premises so which the building is to be moved per permit to relocate the particular building upon such premises. Such permit shall be called a "Relocation Permit."
Section $500.21. Application for Relocation Permit.
Every application to the Building Inspector for a Relocation Permit shall be in writing, upon a form furnished by the Building Inspector, and shall set forth such information as such Building Inspector may reasonably require in order to carry out the purpose of this chapter.
Section $500.22. Rules Governing Issuance of Relocation Permit.
No permit shall be issued to relocate any building or structure which is so constructed or in such condition as to be required.

Section $500.27. House Mover's Permit. Issuance.
No House Mover's Permit shall be granted unless:
(a) The applicant shall have the building inspected by the Building Inspector.
(b) The applicant shall pay to the Building Inspector a fee of $40,00 for each permit requested.
(c) A separate application upon a form furnished by the Building Inspector shall be filed and a separate permit obtained for the moving of each building or structure, or portion of a building or structure.
Section $500.28. Application for House' Mover's Permit.
Each application for House Mover's Permit must show:
(a) The kind of building or structure to be moved.
(b) The street location or other identifying description of the property to which it is proposed to be moved and the route over, along and across, and upon which such building or structure section or portion thereof is to be moved.
(c) The number of sections in which the building or structure will be moved.
(d) The time when it is proposed to be moved and within which removal will be completed.
Section $500.29. House Mover. Must Be Licensed.
No permit shall be issued to any house mover pursuant to the terms of this chapter unless such house mover shall have been regularly licensed and authorized to engage in such business at the time of the application for any such permit.
Section $500.30. House Movers. Damage to Streets.
In case of damage to any street by reason of the moving of any building or structure or portion thereof, the Building Inspector shall do such work or cause such work as may be necessary to restore the street to as good a condition as the same was in prior to such damage, and shall charge the cost thereof to the house mover to whom the permit was issued for the moving of such building or structure, or section or portion thereof.
Section $500.31. House Moving. Red Light Required.
No person moving any building or structure, or section or portion thereof over, upon or along or across any street shall fail, neglect or refuse to keep a red light burning all times between sunset and sunrise at each corner of such building or structure, or section or portion thereof, and at the end of any projection thereon while the same or any part thereof is located in or upon any street.
Section $500.32. Protection of Sidewalks.
No person shall drive any wagon or other vehicle over, along or across any cement or other improved sidewalk or curb, unless

RELOCATION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY ANAHEIM DECLARING IT TENTION TO CALL A SPECIAL ELECTION TO SUBMIT QUESTION OF ANNEXATION SAID TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF ANAHEIM.
WHEREAS, on the 9th day March, 1854, J. P. Lemons, Cox, W. F. Schimming, Crew Hildebrand, by T. L. Beatty, man H. Freese and Earl L. filed a written request with City Council of the City of Anaheim requesting the consent to the City Council to the commencement of proceedings for the nexation of certain inhabited ritory, more particularly after described, to the City Council pursuant to that section of the Annexation Act of (Title IV, Division 2, Part 1 ter 1, Articles 1 to 4 include the Government Code of Canada); and WHEREAS, the City Council on the 9th day March, 1854, the City Council receive from the City Planning Committee WHEREAS, on the 23rd day March, 1854, the City Council receive from the City Planning Committee its recommendation approving the proposed action WHEREAS, the proposal for annexation of said territory is reported to the proponents respect to the definitiveness and tainty of the proposed bound that said Boundary Commission reported upon the petition onceedings within twenty (20) after it was submitted to it; WHEREAS, said City did, on the 23rd day March, 1854, adopt resolution No. 286 in counsel to the commencement of annexation provisions and approving the citation of a petition for the annexation of said territory to the City of Anaheim; and WHEREAS, on the 1. That each and all of the terms and conditions of the Relocation Permit shall be complied with to the satisfaction of the Building Inspector.
2. That all the work required to be done pursuant to the conditions of the Relocation Permit shall be fully performed and completed within the time limit specified in the Relocation Permit, or, if no time limit is specified, within ninety (50) days after the date of the issuance of the House Mover's Permit elsewhere in this chapter provided for. The time limit specified in any permit may be extended for good and sufficient cause by the Building Inspector. No such extension of time shall be valid unless written and no such extension shall release any surety upon any bond.
Section $500.24. Entry Upon Premises.
The Building Inspector, the surety and the duly authorized representatives of either shall have access to the premises described in the Relocation Permit for the purpose of inspecting the progress of the work.
In the event of any default in the performance of any term, or condition of the Relocation Permit the surety or any person employed or engaged on its behalf, or the Building Inspector or any person employed or engaged on his behalf, shall have the right to go upon the premises to complete the required work or to remove or demolish the building or structure.
No person shall interfere with nor obstruct the ingress or egress to or from any such premises of any authorized representative or agent of any surety or of the City engaged in the work of completing demolishing or removing any building or structure for which a Relocation Permit has been issued, after a default has occurred in the performance of the terms or conditions thereof.
Section $500.25. Relocation Permit Exceptions.
The provisions of this chapter relating to a Relocation Permit shall not open where the building or structure is to be moved to a point outside of the limits of the City. In such cases, if the Building Inspector finds that the building or structure is so constructed and in such condition that it may be removed with safety, a permit shall issue.
Section $500.26. Relocation Permit Fees.
Before any application for a Relocation Permit is accepted a fee of $25.00 shall be paid by the applicant to cover the costs to the City of the investigation of the condition of the building to be moved, and the inspection of the proposed new location. This application fee shall be in addition to the regular Building Permit required to be used by Governmental Agencies for Governmental purposes.
The provisions of this section shall not apply to the relocation of temporary buildings or structures to be used by Governmental Agencies for Governmental purposes.

Said bond and insurance policies shall be approved by the City Attorney as to form and suffice.

Section $500.36.
The Building Inspector shall not issue a Relocation Permit unless the applicant therefor shall first post with the Building Inspector a bond executed by the owner of the premises where the building or structure is to be located, as principal, and by a surety company authorized to do business in this State as surety, or makes a deposit hereinafter provided. If a surety bond is posted it shall first be approved by the City Attorney.
Section $500.37.
The surety bond required by this chapter shall:
(a) Be in form joint and several:
(b) Name the City of Anaheim as obligee;
(c) Be in all amount equal to the estimated cost, plus 10% of the work required to be done in order to comply with all of the conditions of the Relocation Permit, such estimate to be as estimated by the Building Inspector and or the City Engineer.
(d) If cash in lieu of a bond is deposited, it shall be deposited with the City Treasurer and shall be in an amount equal to 10% of the amount of the work required to be done.
Section $500.38. Penalty.
Any person firm or corporation violating any provision of this chapter shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and each day upon which such violation occurs shall constitute a separate offense, and upon conviction thereof shall be punished by a fine not exceeding $300.00, or be confined in the County Jail for not more than three (3) months, or by both such fines and imprisonment.
SECTION 2.
The City Clerk shall cause this Ordinance to be published in a newspaper of general circulation, printed, published and circulated in the City of Anaheim, and it shall take effect and be in full force thirty (30) days from an after its final passage.

of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does further find that it would be to the advantage and for the best interests of the City of Anaheim, and the residents thereof, and the qualified electors residing within the territory proposed to be particularly described, to submit the question of the annexation of said territory to the City of Anaheim to the electors residing within said territory; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does further find that said territory should be designated by some appropriate name by which it may be referred to upon the ballots used at the election at which the question of annexation of said territory to the City of Anaheim shall be submitted to the electors residing within said territory and that an appropriate designation for such territory ORANGE AVENUE EXTENSION; and

Miller a written request with the Council of the City of Anaheim requesting the consent of City Council to the commencement of proceedings for the annuation of certain inhabited terrace, more particularly herein described, to the City of Anaheim pursuant to the provisions of the Annexation Act of 1913 IV, Division 2, Part 2. Chap. Articles 1 to 4 inclusive, of Government Code of California and thereas, the City Council did the 9th day of March, 1954, said request and application the City Planning Commission; thereas, on the 28th day of June, 1954, the City Council did give from the City Planning mission its recommendation moving the proposed annexation.

affidavit of the publication of said notice of intention to circulate said petition, together with the filing of said no intention to circulate said petition accompanied by said publication, the City Council did on the 13th day of 1954, adopt Resolution No. finding and determining that should be to the advantage and the best interest of the City Anaheim and the qualified electors residing within the hereinafter abated territory, to approve the relation of a petition for the annexation of said territory to the City of Anaheim and did thereupon love the circulation of said petition and thereby on the 27th day of 1954, the City Council did not petition signed by not than one-fourth of the qualified electors residing within the hereinafter described, as by the County Registration voters, containing a description of new territory proposed to be annexed to the City; and City Council does find and declare that said proponents have and performed the acts and is required to be done and formed by the Annexation Act 1813, at the time and in the order required by the provision of said Act; and that said was circulated more than once (1813) days after the location of notes of intention
