A bundle of $3 canceled checks totaling $89,580 were introduced in man said. "He'd tell me how make out the checks."
Zinneman said he worked on an agreement with Samish in 1918 by which the lobbyist was to cease one-quarter of the Bid agency's profits on the Schenel liquor account. The profit ran high as 3 per cent of the gross advertising billings from Schenel. Earlier testimony placed billings as high as five million dollars a year.
Records Destroyed
Zinneman said he gave a statement of the firm's deal with Samish last year to inter-revenue agents. He said he showed a copy of the statement shortly after to Samish.
"He told me this is all a part of lies," Zinneman said. "I ask him to point out one lie in it, be repeated. It's a pack of lies."
Under cross-examination, Zinneman admitted that there is entry in the agency's books showing that any check was ever livered to Samish. He said no of the agency's records for years before 1949 have been troyed.

Claim Modern Man “Too Tired” to Raise
By ROBERT MUSEL
LONDON (UP) — Dr. Stella Churchill, a psychiatrist whose career has spanned both eras, said today modern man is "too tired" to make the kind of love that filled the Victorian age with huge farmliles.
"Too tired," said Dr. Churchill, "too tired. Those are the saddest words of tongue or pen for many of young bride of today. Her husband makes love to her about once a month after the first flush of married life has worn off.
Child a Year
"But in the Victorian era..." Dr. Churchill, who has seven grandchildren, sighed reminiscently.
"In the Victorian age, a man presented his wife with a baby every year. Every year, mind you They were men in those days.
Dr. Churchill said her view drew approving comment when she expressed them recently before the Married Women's Association. She specializes in the psychology of unhappy marriages.
Dr. Churchill said the stress of modern high-pressure living tended to take the minds off the simple home comforts which completely satisfied the Victorian husband and wife.
"The modern men are simply worn out," she said. "And they have other things on their mind."

Tired" to Raise Big Families
In the Victorian age, a man and his wife with a baby year. Every year, mind you, more men in those days." Churchill said her views approving comment when pressed them recently because Married Women's Association she specializes in the psychology of unhappy marriages. Churchill said the stress of high-pressure living tend to take the minds off the home comforts which so easily satisfied the Victorian and wife. Modern men are simply out," she said. "And they other things on their minds, such as earning a living in a world in which competition is progressively more intense. You don't think of having children when your mind is obsessed with so many other problems.
"Children have to be wanted. They must come into an atmosphere of happiness. This is unfortunately not the case in many homes today."
Dr. Churchill admitted that she might be blamed in her assessment of the modern male because her patients are the weaker members of the sex.
"It's true," she said, "that the smallness of the family of today is often due simply to un-
willingness to incur more expense. But that inability to get the extra money often means the man is already struggling at full capacity and so when it comes to a normal married life, well, he's 'too tired.'"
