Yale over Darimouth, by two touchdowns. West Virginia over Penn State, maintains nation's longest winning streak. Syracuse over Holy Cross, Crusaders' offense bogging down. Fordham over Miami, superior passing. Also Princeton over Brown, Harvard over Davidson, Marquette over Boston U., Bucknell over Lehigh, Colgate over Rutgers, Boston College over Richmond, Villanova over Xavier. Midwest: Minnesota over Pittsburgh, TV fans see Giel gallop again. Notre Dame over Navy, better all-round team. Illinois over Purdue, superior backs. Michigan over Pennsylvania, but probability close. Oklahoma over Kansas State, by one touchdown. Also Wisconsin in Iowa, Indiana over Missouri, Ohio State over Northwestern, Michigan State over Oregon State, Nebraska over Kansas, Colorado over Iowa State, Cincinnati over Dayton, Drake over Bradley. Washington State coach says either Arnie Pelleur or Bob Perliner will start at end Saturday against Stanford in place of the missing Howard McCants. McCants disappeared after the WBC-UCLA game last week and has been "missing somewhere in California" since. Kircher said that with Pelleur and Peringer "we're in fine shape. I don't care whether McCants shows up or not." SEATTLE (UP) — The entire Washington team appears in good physical condition for the Utah game this weekend, with the possible exception of halfback Stew Crook, according to Coach Johnny Cherberg. Crook is not recovering too rapidly from his injuries in the Oregon game and "we're saying him for California," Cherberg said. EUGENE (UP)—The University of Oregon Ducks have a record which they haven't enjoyed for several seasons and they hope to keep it when they go against the Southern California Trojans Saturday. The Webfootts are leading their opponents in yards gained and will engage the Trojans with a record of 1584 yards to their credit, compared to 1505 yards for the six opposing teams they have met. BERKELEY (UP)—Thirty-four varsity players and three members of the Ramblers have been named to make the trip to UCLA by California's-coach, Lynn (Papyr) Waldorf. Named on the traveling squad were Tom Dutton, injured guard and captain, and fullback Steve Simeff, who has been out with an infected arm. Unlucky Bees Engage Panthers at Orange The Colonists Bees travel to Orange tomorrow for their second league game of the season. Panther Coach Bill Trants has installed the UCLA single wing this year and to date his team is undefeated. They took their first league game last week from Santa Ana, 6-0. Coach Hunstock's boys defeated Huntington Beach last Friday, 7-6, only to learn yesterday that he had used an ineligible man due to an error in computing exponents, the game becoming a forfeit of the Offense. Both Coaches Hunstock and Frants were classmates at UCLA which are the contest a definite "Bruin flavor." STANFORD (UP) — Fullback Jarvis Watson was recovering from a charley horse and may see action against Washington State College Saturday, according to Stanford Coach Chuck Taylor. Tackle Barry Smith and fullback Kill Wentworth will be out, however. Smith is still recovering from a slight brain concussion suffered two weeks ago. Wentworth has a pinched shoulder nerve. LOS ANGELES (UP) — UCLA Coach Henry (Red) Sanders had cause for worry today following what he termed a "sloppy" punting and passing drill. But, while Sanders was unhappy over yesterday's practice efforts, he received some good news with notification that tackle Charlie Doud would be back (for today) drill and would be ready for Saturday's clash with California. LOS ANGELES (UP)—Southern California was bolstered today with the news that quarterback George Boxanic will definitely start against Oregon. However, this was balanced with the disclosure that fullback Harold Han probably will miss the game because of an injured foot. PCL Owners Meet Today; Uneasy for Loops Future LOS ANGELES (UP)—Club own-meet here today in what has been called the "most important meeting in the history of the league." President Clarence (Panis) Rowland and the owners are uneasy because of the growing agitation in Los Angeles and San Francisco for immediate Major League baseball. Rowland has called the owners together to discuss important "progressive" points concerning the future of the league. Coast League owners will hear a program presented by Phil Wrigley, owner of the Los Angeles Angels and the Chicago Cubs, regarding the future of Major League baseball for Los Angeles and other franchises. Bobby Layne leads the World Champion Detroit Lions against Norman Van Brocklin and the Los Angeles Rams. Undisputed leadership in the Western Conference of the National Football League will be at stake. The Rams and Lions are currently tied for the top spot with 4-1 records. Passing will undoubtedly play a tremendous part in the outcome of the game. Van Brocklin, currently the NFL's second leading passer, completed 12 of 27 for 208 yards and two T.D.'s to spearhead a 31-18 upset win over Detroit in the Motor City two weeks ago.
