Ask Court Review Of Water Suit SANTA ANA—Two years ago today, suit to enjoin City of Riverside and upcounty water interests from withdrawing more supplies from fast - depleting Santa Ana River basin was filed, and today the Orange County Water District asked for an early court review. An out-of-county judge, either from Ventura or San Diego, hear the action which is due to be a classic as to length and bitterness—for seldom is any court fight so embroiled as is a water right case. The county's water district brought the actions originally for announced purpose of "forcing" Riverside and San Bernardino counties' water users into Metropolitan Water District membership so they could import supplies. It was for the dual purpose also of preventing City of Riverside from proceeding with a $3,500,000 program of explorations for water in the basin which also serves Orange County. It seeks to enjoin Riverside and other cities to use not more than supplies taken out in 1946; City of Corona would be enjoined from as late as 1948.
