LEGAL NOTICE
RESOLUTION NO. 2257
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DECLARING ITS INTENT TO CALL A SPECIAL ELECTION TO SUBMIT TO THE RACIALIFIED ELECTORATE HIDING IN THE HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED TERRITORY THE QUESTION OF ANNEXATION OF PAID TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF ANAHEIM.
WHEREAS, on the 26th day of July, 1953, L. P. Nichols, Albert L. Chater, G. L. Lyons, Luella H. Maher, Jess M. Canright, Leille L. Laker, Frank Krogman, J. A. Fisker, Harold J. Rose, and Tim Wallace, filed a written quest with the City Council of City of Anaheim requesting the sentent of the City Council to the enhancement of proceedings for annexation of certain inhabited territory, more particularly heretofore described to the provisions the Annexation Act of 1913 (T1V, Division 2, Part 2, Chapter Articles 1 to 4 inclusive, of the Government Code of California);
WHEREAS, the City Council did the 26th day of July, 1953, reject said request and rejection on the day of July, 1953, the City did lucrative from the commission its receipt on the proposed annexation;
BEc WHEREAS, the proposal for the annexation of said territory to the Boundary Commission of County of Orange for its recert to the proponents with respect to the definiteness and certainity of the proposed boundaries; he at said Boundary Commission has lettored upon the petition or provision of it was submitted to it; and WHEREAS, said City Council did from the 9th day of June, 1953, adopt resolution No. 2167 giving its intent to the commencement of annexation proceedings and proving the circulation of a petition for the annexation of said territory to the City of Anaheim; and WHEREAS, on the 10th day of July, 1953, said proponent did establish a notice for intention to cultivate a petition for the annexion of the hereinafter described property to the City of Anaheim within ten (10) days thereafter did file with the City Clerk or less to an angle point; thence westerly 4760 feet more or less to an angle point, said point being on the Northeast right-of-way line of the Santa Ana Freeway; thence southwesterly 235 feet more or less to an angle point; thence northwesterly 260 feet along a line parallel to the Santa Ana Freeway; thence southerly to the North right-of-way line of La Palma Avenue; thence westerly along the North right-of-way line of said La Palma Avenue; 210 feet to a point on the east right-of-way line of Magnolia Avenue; said point also being the most southwesterly corner of the Houston Avenue Annexation; thence Westerly along the North right-of-way line of said La Palma Avenue and northerly prolongation of the west property line of that parcel of land described as the northeastern 8.23 acres of the Northeast % of Section 12, T4S R11W, river mile 8, thence Southerly along said West property line and its northerly prolongation 732 feet more or less to the South property line of said parcel; thence Easterly along said South property line and its easterly prolongation on the East right-of-way line of Magnolia Avenue; thence along said East right-of-way line of Magnolia Avenue to the North right-of-way line of Crescent Avenue; thence Easterly along the northerly right-of-way line of said Crescent Avenue a distance of 1171.2 feet more or less to a point said point being on the northerly prolongation the west line of E% of SW % of Section 7, T16 R10W, SBB and M. thence Southerly along said west line and its northerly prolongation 2708.04 more or less to the southerly right-of-way line of Lincoln Avenue a distance of 651.85 feet more or less to a point on the west line of E% of NW % of the NW % of Section 7, T16 R10W, SBB and M. thence Southerly along said west line and its southerly prolongation a distance of 1322.84 feet more or less to the south right-of-way line of Broadway; thence Westerly along the south right-of-way line of said Broadway to the NW corner Traffic No. 25 on a map thereof recorded in Book 9, page 28 M.M." Records of Orange County, thence Southerly along the easterly line of said Traffic No. 25 a distance of against the calling of an entry submit to the electors within said territory then on the City of Anaheim, or against the issue sold territory to the City of Anaheim must be in writing be filed with the City Clerk or Anaheim be, and he authorised and directed copy of this resolution to linen at least once a week prior to the date before filed for the objected sale tests and objections and annexation and the annexation ritory to the City of AnAHAHEIM BULLETIN paper of general circulation listed and circulated in Anaheim County State Of California.

WHEREAS, the City Council does further find that said territory shall be designated by some apportioned by which it may referred to upon the behalf at the election at which the annexation of said territory to the City of Anaheim to the corporation designation for such territory is GILBERT STREET ANNEXATION; and WHEREAS, the City Council is from said petition and reports received that the boundaries of the territory so proposed and sought to be annexed to the City of Anaheim are as follows: with Said territory is situated in County of Orange, State of California, the specific boundaries thereof are as follows: all that territory situated in the city of Orange, State of California, the boundaries of which are particularly described as follows, to-wit:

against the calling of an election to submit to the electors residing within said territory the question of annexation of said territory to the City of Anaheim, or any prosecution against the annexation of said territory to the City of Anaheim must be in writing and may be filed with the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim at any time not later than the hour and date set forth herein for the hearing of objections to said election and AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim be, and he is hereby authorised and directed to cause a copy of this resolution to be published at least once a week for two weeks prior to the date hereinafter fixed for the hearing of protests and objections to said election and the annexation of said territory to the City of Anaheim, in the ANAHEIM BULLETIN, a newspaper of general circulation, published and circulated in the City of Anaheim County of Orange, State of California.
