Vandiver-Paul Rites Solemnized, Couple Honeymoon at Tahoe
With lovely shades of pale blue, white, fuchsia, soft pink and garnet chosen for her wedding. Miss Charme Vandiver, daughter of Mrs. Herbert L. Orban of 8141 21st St., Westminster, was claimed by John S. Paul, son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Paul of Selma, Calif., as his bride.

Honeymoon days at Yellowstone National park will end this week for Mr. and Mrs. Joseph John Mello nee Thresa Dolores Coelho, who said their marriage vows in the sanctuary of St. Ping V Catholic church at Buena Park on Sept. 9. Father Frederick Kass was the officiating clergyman for the 9:30 nuptils with more than 350 guests witnessing the rites.
Center aisle for the bride, as she walked to the altar with her father. J. M. Coelho, was carpeted in white with satin bows marking the pew to her hair with a crown of pearl-ed orange blossoms.

Vandiver-Paul Rites Solemnized, Couple Honeymoon at Tahoe
With lovely shades of pale blue, white, fuchsia, soft pink and garnet chosen for her wedding, Miss Charme Vandiver, daughter of Mrs. Herbert L. Orban of 8141 21st St. Westminster, was claimed by John S. Paul, son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Paul of Selma, Calif., as his bride. The eight o'clock evening ceremony was read by the Rev. William D. Howard Saturday at the Capilla de San Antonio. Giving the bride away was her stepfather, Herbert Orban.
The bride's gown was created from the palest of blue satin with the full skirt walta length. The lace covered bodice had soft cross-plasted detail at the top bodice and at the cuff or the short sleeves with nylon matching tulle ruffle at the neckline. Her shoulder-length veil was held to her hair with a tiny cap and she carried a white bound Bible on which arrested an arrangement of stephanotis and blue delphinium.
Only Attendant
Mrs. Alvin Fitzgerald, her only attendant, wore a gown fashioned in fuchsia taffeta, an interesting contrast to the blue of the bride's gown. Delicate pink carnations and garnet rose buds formed her bouquet. Keith Parsons was the best man and Jack Rees and Alvin Fitzgerald served as ushers.
Singing "Your's Is My Heart Alone," "Because" and "The Lord's Prayer, William Packier, soloist was accompanied by Mrs. A. F.

She was radiant in her gown of white satin, fashioned with long lace sleeves and regal lace collar. Her mother's wedding handkerchief held with her bouquet of stephanotis surrounding a single white orchid. This she later wore on her dusty brown wool fannel suit for her wedding trip. Her accessories for her suit were in pink.

What Mother's Wore
For her daughter's wedding Mrs. Orban was dressed in a rose lace gown. Mrs. Paul wore a pink lace formal with pink rose buds fashioned in the corsages for the mothers.
Lake Tahoe honeymoon was the destination of the young couple when they left later in the evening on their wedding trip. For traveling Mrs. Paulchose e a brown suit with alligator shoes and bag, a beige hat and gloves were her accessories. Her ochid from her bridal flowers was pinned to her costume.
Katella PTL Plans First Meeting for September 29
First meeting of the Katella Parent Teacher League is slated for Tuesday, Sept. 29, at 11:15 p.m. with luducheon to precede the business meeting which will be presided over by Mrs. Hal Balmer. Speaker for the meeting will discuss nutrition and is to come from the state capitol city.
Plans for opening school activities and the first meeting were discussed at the Sept. 9 board meeting held at the home of Mrs. Balmer, president of the PTL Dessertwa served after the business hour.
Pastel green was the shade of the dress worn by Victoria Lynn Michado who served as flower girl Ring bearer was Toni Sores.
Narle Ferreira was groomess with Hubert Barberia, John Cottal Alvern Sousa, Jack Penniero and Samuel Corderio as ushers. Eugene Anacello as nuptial solist sar "Ave Maria," and "O Beautiful Mother."
Altar of the church was decorated with white baskets filled with sprays of gladioli and larkspet with similar decoration used at the traditional dancing party at the Artesia Portuguese hall, held after the wedding luncheon. More than 600 guests shared the dancing at Knott's Berry Farm, party.
For the wedding and other festivities the bride's mother, Mrs. M. Coelho wore a blue lace dress while Mrs. Emelia Mello, mother of the bridegroom was dressed in a black lace gown.
First Home Address
Both the bride and bridegroom attended Cypress grammar school and Anaheim High School. Mello is engaged in the dairy business and following the honeymoon at Lake Tahoe the young couple will establish their home on Orange Rd., Cypress.

Saying her marriage vows in the old church, where she had attended with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Delphia St., Miss Mary Margaret Charles Eastman Trousdale Jr., 11 o'clock. Officiant for the nuptial mass was the Rt. Rev. Msg Francis Ott. San Diego, friend of long standing of the Lawrence family.
Esorted to the altar by her father, who gave her in marriage Miss Lawrence chose traditional heavy white satin for her wedding gown. Fashioned in Victorian period, her gown had a beaded motif at the right shoulder, and on the panels of the full flowing skirt. The beaded coronet, holding her illusion net veil to her dark hair, gave a regal impression to her bridal ensemble.
Delicate lily-of-the-valley accented the white orchid which centered her bridal bouquet and a pale blue rosary, a gift from the Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Mary Marymount college, was held with her floral arrangement as she recited her vow. An heirloom handkerchief, and the good luck coin a sixpense borrowed from Mrs. Emily Wallin, a very close friend were the sentimental items completing her sentimental accents.
Autumn Reflected
Touch of the falltime marked the decorations at the altar where unruly leaves and rose buds Music for the double ring service was "Je Dulcia," by Vittoria; "Cor Jesu, Bone Jesu." Pallestina and Mzart's "Ave Verum", sung by the Holy Trinity choir, Emerson Tree directing. Mrs. A. F. Faust was at the organ console for the ceremony.

Health and Safety Program Given at Recent BPW Meeting
The Business and Professional Women's club of Anaheim, enjoyed a dinner meeting on a recent even- ing at San's cafe on South Los Angeles St. Florence Davis, Vera Oster, and Ida May Walburg participated in the opening moments with Addie Belle Hunt, chairman of the health and safety in charge of the program. Annette Edwards, psychological consultant in Child Guidance in Orange County was the guest speaker.
Mrs. Edwards is a graduate of Fullerton Junior College and received her B.A. at the University of California, Berkeley and her Master's Degree at the University of Minnesota. She discussed "Good Mental Health Attitudes."
Eva Gooden, president, announced the resignation of Rose Klueter who has left the City. Mrs. Klueter's office of chairman of publicity was given to Vera B. Oster. Elose I. Gibson, teacher at Cris Business college was inducted as a new member. June Faulkner, area manager for Field was a guest at the meeting.
All business women, whether members or not are invited to attend the Sept. 23 social meeting at the Optimist club house, 117 West Chartres, at 8 p.m.
Conversational French Classes Open at FJC
"Conversational French", a course added to the fall schedule of Fullerton Evening Junior College because of the interest shown in it by prospective students, will be taught by W. R. Marisa, who recently joined the High school faculty. The first meeting of the class will be on Tuesday, Sept. 15, from 7 to 9 p.m., in room 313 of the business education building on
Dr. Joseph Ersek Opens First FJC Adult Class
7 p.m. Thursday
A series of lectures of buinessmen, civic leaders teachers, and interested citizens, on economic world problems will be presented by Fullerton evening Junior college as a part of its social civil education program this fall, with Dr. Joseph P. Ersek as lecturer-instructor.
The first meeting of the class will be held on Thursday, Sept. 17, from 7 to 9 p.m., in room 76 of the classroom building on the high school campus. Dr. Ersek intends to devote the bulk of his lectures to the analysis of the present socialistic experiments. In addition to the lecture at each class meeting there will be a discussion and question period.
Dr. Ersek, now a resident of Anaheim, has lived in Hungary. He is a graduate of the Royal Technical and Economical University of Budapest. After receiving his doctor's degree he spent 20 years in the filed of lecturing, farming and government service. He is well-known throughout southern California as a lectuer and educator.
Adults interested in registering for the course of Economic World Problems may do so at the evening schools office on the high school campus.

Saturday at St. Boniface Church
In her marriage vows in the sanctuary of St. Boniface Catholic church, where she had attended services throughout her youth, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Lawrence of 825 South Phillips St., Miss Mary Margaret Lawrence became the bride of Eastman Trousdale Jr. of San Pedro Saturday morning at St. Boniface Church.
Officiant for the nuptials was the Rt. Rev. Msgr. Ott. San Diego, friend of founding of the Lawrence faction.
To the altar by her father gave her in marriage, Lawrence chose traditional white satin for her wedding dression in Victorian peacock gown had a beaded motif right shoulder, and on the left of the full flowing skirt, adorned coronet, holding her net veil to her dark hair, regal impression to her ensemble.

Attendants' Gowns
Exquisitely created from irresident American Beauty taffeta their gowns were a striking contrast to the white satin bridal dress as the wedding party stood before the altar. All attendants wore matching shoes and gloves with floral coronets as their head-dresses. Wheat spears arranged with early autumn rose buds and leaves filled the small half bird cages carried by the bride's attendants.
Little Miss Joan Marie Stoffel, petite in her pink taffeta formal frock, designed with tiers of sheer nylon net to the skirt, shoes and gloves matching in color, served as flower girl. She, too, wore a coronet of flowers and her pink roses were formed into a nosegay.
Acting as bestman for his brother-in-law was Jack Reynolds-Brown with usher duties in charge of Julius Dietrick, Edward Kearney, Joseph Michels, Noel Tambourvich, Robert Michele and James Kerber.
Reception Details
Hosts of friends and relatives extended their congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Trousdale at the reception held at the Capilla de San Antonio where Miss Kathleen Bruntet invited them to sign the bride's guest book. Gifts were taken care of Miss Mary Loessin.
Receiving with the bridal couple were their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence of this city and Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Trousdale St. San Pedro. Mrs. Lawrence wore a smartly designed navy blue taffeta ensemble with navy and white accessories. Mrs. Trousdale chose pink taffeta for her dress. White orchid corsages were worn by both mothers.
Legend of Couple
Mr. and Mrs. Trousdale Jr. will be at home to their friends at Los Altos Community, Long Beach when they return from their honeymoon at Palm Springs. Their home is conveniently located for the occupations of the young couple. The bridegroom is employed in the service representative group of engineering draftmen, Long Beach corporation of Douglas Aircraft.
His bride is presently completing her college courses at Long Beach State college. She is a graduate of St. Boniface Parochial school, Marywood Catholic Girls High School, both in Anaheim, and is an alumni of Marymont college. For her honeymoon she wore a rose-toned suit, her accessories black and the orchid from her bridal flowers plumed to the lapel of the jacket.
Her bridegroom is a graduate of Chadwick Preparatory school and is an alumnus of University of California, Berkeley campus. Gran Chaumiere, Paris, France.
