The conference, which has been in progress five days, is expected to come to a formal conclusion about noon. "COUSIN MARY" PLANS WEDDING HOLLYWOOD, May 6—Mary Pickford was directing arrangements today for the marriage of her cousin, Verna Watson, of Toronto. Miss Watson, a dancer, is to be married Sunday to Filmer Chalif, son of Louis H. Chalif, New York dance master. The nuptials Dame Clara Butt, of England contralto opera and concerto singer, and favorite of Queen Mary is the latest member of the Soroptimist Club. This gives in a newly formed English organization for professional air business women. West Coast Lease WEST COAST, May 6. (Spl.) On Thursday, May 7th a special Fathers' Night will be given in Olinda school auditorium to be at 7:30 o'clock. The kindergarten and grade tots will open the first p.m. of the program. After which Nick Harris the well known lective will give an interesting lecture. There will be no charge admission, but a silver collector will be taken to help defray evening's expenses. The Bear Town dance given the Olinda social hall on Friday evening was an enormous success. So much so that the community began asking that another day be given very shortly. So durd the coming week another day will be arranged; the date be announced later. The Witney Boys Chorus assisted at the opening of the new California Theatre in Romona on Saturday. In lieu of the usual number of boys chorus numbers going to ten voices save a single boy which was greatly appreciated David and Wesley Rudey among the singers, David singing all night and with the choir sang again on Sunday in the Potteresian church at Pomona.
