Your Cross Word Puzzle
HOW TO SOLVE THE CROSS WORD PUZZLE
The way to solve the Cross Word Puzzle is to fill in the white squares of the diagram with the words which agree with the accompanying definitions. The definitions are numbered to correspond with the numbers on the diagram.
Any word defined in the text under "HORIZONTAL" will begin at its number, shown on the diagram, and will extend all the way across to the first black space to the right of that number. That is, the word must begin in the square that contains its identifying number, and extend as far as the white squares continue uninterruptedly.
Any word defined under "VERTICAL" will also begin in the white space that contains its number, but will extend downward as far as the white spaces remain uninterruptedly.
Miss Martha Berry, founder and director of the Berry School of Georgia, has been awarded the 1925 Roosevelt Medal for distinguished public service. She was thus honored for the promotion of the welfare of women and children. In 1902, Miss Berry founded on her own farm at Mount Berry, Ga., a school for five children from the mountain districts. The school now cares for 650 boys and girls annually on 7,000 acres of land on which are 95 buildings.

PROFESSOR NOODLES
Dear Professor:
I've read about this Omar gink—who loved to sit beneath a bough, and read a book and sip a drink with some fair damselfish known as Thou.
And now I wonder what he'd say if he could taste our stuff to day!
T.S. Hennessy
One modern drink is all he'd need to make poor Omar dazed!
The only book that he could read would be with letters raised!
