800 CONFER ON WHO WON "WAR"
HONOLULU, Hawaii. May 1.—The aftermath of "war" was discussed today as 800 officers of the "Blue" U. S. Navy and "Black" Hawaiian defenders went into conference.
Admiral Robert E. Coontz, commander in chief of the Navy, led the critique, which will continue five days, during which the exact results of the United States' greatest Naval maneuvers will be decided.
Major General J. L. Hines is presiding jointly with Admiral Coontz in the deliberations.
The officers will consider each separate movement in the recent "war" which ended with unofficial victory given to the invading fleet.
The findings may possibly never be made public, according to high officers attending. It is generally agreed, however, that the decision will contain the opinion that Oahu's defenses are weak.
No press statements will be given out until the critique ends May 6, when a summary will be issued.
The report roes in full to Washington, where it will be fade public, if at all.
Admiral S. S. Robins, commander of the "Blue" fleet, is expected to give interesting comment, pointing out the island's weak defenses as seen from the attacking angle.
No civilians today were permitted to visit the fleet, due to a swell which made passage to the ships, anchored offshore, a difficult matter for small boats.

MISS VAN RENSSELAER,
BOOMED FOR SENATE, IS NOT IN RECEPTIVE MOOD
Although the New York State Home Economics Association indorsed Miss Marta Van Rensselaer, head of the New York State College of Home Economics at Cornell, as its candidate for the United States Senate, Miss Van Rensselaer declares she has no political aspirations. Members of the association are hoping she will change her mind. Miss Van Rensselaer took a heading part in developing the home economics department at Cornell for more than twenty-five years, and in May, 1923, the National League of Women Voters named her as one of America's twelve greatest living women.

VISITS CONCORDIA
The Concordia Turn club was visited by Mr. Paul Krempel, former member of the U.S. Olympic team and one of the country's leading turners. He entertained the locals with an exhibition of expert turning on the bars and leather horse. He is a member of the famous Los Angeles Turn Verein and was member of the Olympic team when he held the title of all-round athletic champion of California. Mr. Krempel was surprised at the size of the Anaheim class, and thought the locals were doing well in the gymnastics.
Every Monday evening from 7 o'clock on sees the hard working little Coach Reitz putting the locals thru their paces on apparatus work and mass exercises. He is confident that Anaheim will have a good representation in the meet June 14th.
Improvements have been made in the way of new equipment.
All turners are asked to attend the inauguration of the new officers Monday, May 4.
COMPLETE RODEO IN GIBSON'S PICTURE
Some of the most notorious "bad actors" known to mankind were used as extras in "Let Er Buck." Hoot Gibson's special at the United Theatre tonight and tomorrow. But, as notoriously "bad" as these extras are acclaimed, it is said that their performance adds materially to the entertainment value of the picture. These "bad actors" are among the finest collection of outlaw horses ever assembled and their appearance before the camera was coincident with their exhibition at the famous annual round up in 1924 at Pendleton, Ore. This great carnival of cattle range sports was used as the background for Hoot's story.
Hoot entered two events of the charlot race, both fairly dangerous and very exciting; and despite his contract as a picture star, he chanced several bucking and bull-dogging events. A number of the Universal Ranch Riders, who were with the Hoot Unit, also took part in the round up, and these events are also incorporated into the story.

Harold Bell Wright Story at California
A beautiful story of a man made great by love is unfolded in the screen version of Harold Bell Wright's book, "The Re-Creation of Brian Kent," coming to the California for next Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. The picture, a Principal Pictures master attraction, presented by Sol Lesser and directed by Sam Wood, is unquestionably one of the finest that has ever been shown in this city.
Those who have read the book will realize that this picture not only bears the same title but tells the same story. It is truly a translation. This, however, should be expected in view of the fact that the author personally supervised its making.
A wonderful philosophy is the underlying theme of "The Re-Creation of Brian Kent." The moral tone is perfect. It is a picture which emphasizes the finer things in life and yet it is anything but of the preachy kind. It is crowded with human interest, thrills and suspense from the time Brian Kent robs a bank until Auntie Sue, a remarkable old character representative of the highest type of womanhood, gets him back on the right road. In this work Auntie Sue is aided by Betty Jo, the attractive niece of the banker whom Kent robbed to satisfy the extravagance of his flippant wife.
Harry Langdon, the King of comedians, in a Mack Sennett Comedy, "The Sea Squawk," and an International News completes the program.
Man may be a super-monkey. But you know which one manages to get by without working.
