YOUNG BANKERS ARE EXAMINED
Orange co., younger bankers are better qualified for their duties today than ever before.
For 28 weeks a class of 50 has been receiving instruction from a Los Angeles attorney, Henry Schaeffer, in the subject of negotiable instruments. Last night they took the final test, practically all the banks of the county being represented.
These tests, under the auspices of the American Institute of Banking have been going on all over the country, 40,000 students taking them, including 1700 in Los Angeles alone.
Orange co., never before has had a chapter of the Institute or enjoyed its benefits. A class will be conducted, probably on another subject, beginning in October.
Meanwhile the examination papers will be forwarded to New York City to be marked.
Comparatively few of the students dropped out of the class during the 28 weeks, those who did so being mostly girls.
On May 7, at the Elk's Club the chapter will hold its annual meeting.
The rich have little advantage. Caddies get the most exercise out of golf.
Usually an apartment is just one room with two or more partitions.

MURDER MYSTERY BAFFLES POLICE
CHICAGO, April 30.—With the release of Frank Kocurek, former army cook, police confessed they were baffled by the Budlong Golf Course girl murder mystery. Kocurek was taken into custody when he reared Kocurek threaten to kill Mrs. Kocurek.
Stains on a knife and hatchet found in Kocurek's home proved to be paint and not blood as suspected.
The slayer of the girl removed her head, arms, legs and sex organs.
And then again, April showers bring May double-headers.
