It is a unique society drama with a very liberal share of western scenery and atmosphere, which buts the picture in a class by itself and stamps it as delightful entertainment. Helen Holmes, who has been endearced to the public as the daring stunt girl, who has no fear, and William Desmand, whose work has lifted him to the ranks of the best known actors on the screen, are both seen at their very best. Another very able actor who lends these two support is Robert Edson. The numerous tense situations and the breath-taking races with which the film is replete creates profound suspense. RIN-TIN-TIN AT UNATED THEATRE "Find Your Man" with Rin-Tin-Tin, is coming to the United Theatre on Friday and Saturday. The story of "Find Your Man" is laid in the timber center. It is full of suspense, thrills, love and as for action, there can't be a lack of that when Rin-Tin-Tin is present. Paul Andrews and Buddy, his canine pal, find themselves envolved in a plot to steal government lumber. Paul makes the discovery too late, and he is arrested on a charge of theft and murder, of which he is innocent. The dog's remarkable work figures in Paul's escape and his miraculous rescue from death. H. K. Sears of Chico was among the new directors elected. Col E. N. Jones was elected third director from San Diego. Resolutions were adopted commencing the Own Your Own Home movement, and various officials who have aided it; recommending appointment of a committee to frame revisions in the constitution and by laws, and commending the work of Chairman Bloodgood of the legislative committee and the committee's work. It was moved to appoint a committee to investigate the operation of the Torrens system. Attention was called to the farm-lands conference at Stockton April 25. Arguments on the Swing-Johnson metropolitan water district bill were opened in the senate today by Senator Ralph Swing of San Bernardino. Swing began his speech with an explanation of the purposes of the measure. Cities in the southern part of the state, thru this bill, will be enabled to work together to obtain water from the Colorado river for domestic purposes. Senator Swing stated. Practically all of the objectionable features of the measure have been amended out by the authors, it was asserted. In its original form the bill would have authorized the water district to take over the existing water rights of the members and would have placed the controlling power of the district with Los Angeles. Both of these provisions have been changed. Swing declared. Under the terms of the present bill Los Angeles-co is given only 50 Baseball Today American Cleveland vs. St. Louis game; rain. Baker alipped, fell or was knocked down a total of 19 times before he was officially declared out in the third round. After the referee saw that Baker's gameness was of no avail against Godfrey's punches and his own awkwardness, he stopped the fight. Godfrey showed no particular greatness in the win, it being a case of a fair amount of punching power toppling an opponent who showed little ability to defend himself. Sailor Billy Vincent took five out of six rounds and a decision over Phil Sheridan in the semi-windup.
