SENOR BOLIN DOES NOT TAKE STAND LONDON, Mar. 12—Financial arrangements between Col. Ian Dennistoun and Lady Carnarvon, whom he married after Mrs. Dorothy Dennistoun divorced him, were announced in court today by Alfred Fryzer, solicitor for Dennistoun. Senor Bolin, smart and attractive young Spaniard, whom defense planned to question concerning relations with Mrs. Dennistoun, did not take the stand. Senor Bolin, smartly dressed, said to be connected with the League of Nations was placed on the stand today in Col. Ian Dennistoun's effort to show that his charming young wife, Dorothy Dennistoun was intimate with many men. The defense charges Bolin was one of Mrs. Dennistoun's friends. The Spaniard listened attentively while counsel argued whether his testimony was admissable. That reports that Mrs. Dennistoun had stayed at a Paris hotel with Maj. Woedovsky led to employment by husband of detectives instructed to learn more of her actions; testimony today brot out. Solicitor Fryzer, for Colonel Dennistoun, whose divorced wife seeks recovery of money she says he loaned him, denied Mrs. Dennistoun was shadowed by detectives all time before start of trial. He admitted, however, she had been shadowed at different times in 1924. The Woedovsky incident was reason one time, he testified, and again Mrs. Dennistoun was followed by woman detective while she was acting as saleswoman at society bazaar. Col. Dennistoun appeared in court today for first time this week. He was smartly dressed in brown. Mrs. Dennistoun also appeared early and busied herself with documents while waiting for session to start. BANDITS ROB 100 MEXICAN WORKERS LOS ANGELES, March 12—Three heavily armed and unmasked bandits early today held up and robbed 100 Mexican laborers of between $1000 and $5000 after routing their victims from their banks of a Santa Fe work train at Wiseburn Siding, according to a report to the sheriff's office. The bandits escaped in a closed auto. The holdup men are reported to have robbed each car of the train separately and several times during the robbery punctuated their demands by firing shots into the car floor. Two of the bandits held the men in submission with revolvers while the third relieved them of their money, the report said. The machine used by the bandits is said to have been registered to a San Francisco owner. OFFERS DEMPSEY RECORD PURSE NEW YORK, March 12—Jimmy De Forest, new matchmaker for the Polo Grounds, telegraphed Jack Kearns this afternoon offering Keorns and Jack Dempsey, heavyweight champion, "a bigger purse than Dempsey has ever received" for a title bout with Harry Willis, nero contender. "I will give Dempsey a bigger amount than he has ever received for a Willis championship bout if he will fight Harry for the title at the Polo Grounds not later than Sept. 25," the telegram read. "I will meet you in New York." Kearns is now in Chicago, en route to New York. AMERICAN STUDENT IN GREECE WOUNDED DR. SUN YAT SEN DIES OF CANCER PEKING, Mar. 12—Dr. Sun Yat Sen, $3, man yyears leader of South China forces, died of stomach cancer here today. Dr. Sun has been ill for weeks and his physicians long ago depaired of his recovery. He was first provisional president of China, leader against Manchu dynasty and author of many reforms. Sun was responsible for almost nationwide abolition of queue; which marked devotion of reactionary China to its age-old customs. He was unrelenting fear of Tulcan, or military governor system, and was regarded by his friends as potential savior of China, by enemies as a self-centred fanatic. Respecting Dr. Sun's last wish that body be embalmed as was that of his friend Lenin, his remains today were being prepared for burial under dictator's last instructions. A glass casket, similar to one in which Lenin's body was buried has been ordered. The body will lie in state several weeks before interment at Nan King, first capital of Chinese republic under Sun's administration. AMERICAN STUDENT IN GREECE WOUNDED LONDON, March 12 — John Logan of Galnesville, Ga., a student of the American school of archeology, has been taken to a hospital at Yaquina, Greece, where he is being treated for a gunshot wound in the throat, according to a dispatch from Athens to the London Times today. Logan was injured when, with three other American students and a British companion, he was held up by bandits near Arta, who opened fire on the party. The prime minister of Greece has apologized to Amercian and British ministers for the occurrence. Gendarmes are pursuing the brigands. INDICT MILLIONAIRE ON LIQUOR CHARGES BOSTON, March 12 — Joseph Leiter, Chicago multi-millionaire business owner who has a summer home on North Shore, which was raided by liquor thieves, was indicted by a federal grand jury here today on three counts charging violation of the Volstead act. Three other Beverly, Mass., men were indicted with him. SEND MATRON'S BODY SOUTH TODAY The body of Edith K. Atkinson, 37, wife of Charles D. Atkinson of Coronado, whose death occurred early this morning at Articola hospital, following a long illness at the Buckle, Terry & Canebell undertaking parlor duty preparation for sending to Yale. Mrs. Atkinson is now by her husband and daughter, young girl, residing in Coronado. Her adventurous career still shrouded in mystery, Nina Jaeger, international spy, has begun a sentence of 12 to 28 months on the charge of attempted grand larceny in a New York state prison. Three at a Time BELIEVE COUPLE DIES OF POISON BUFFALO, March 12—A mystery in a bachelor's cottage confronted authorities at Erie Beach. Out, today following finding of bodies of Mrs. Rose Kahn, 27, of Buffalo and Nerman Mack, 47. It was believed couple had been poisoned. Mrs. Kahn was wife of store proprietor in Buffalo. Mrs. was nursery salesman and owned cottage in which her daughter disccovered. Mrs. Kahn body was in bed and Mack's body was on floor. The exact cause of death will be determined today by autopsy. Discovery of bodies brought to close a long search for Mr. Kahn. On Feb. 28, she walked out of her home yearing old clothing and leaving her rich furs, thousands of dollars worth of jewelry and $5,000 in cash in personal bank account. She was last seen riding with Mack in taxi cab that afternoon. Mack maintained Bachelor apartments in Fort Erie cottages for five years. Mack neighbors told detectives they had frequently observed Mrs. Kahn at cottage. Kahn collapsed at sight of his wife's body in same room with that of Mack's. He had been summoned by authorities. Williams late yesterday chose the practical, as against the theoretical, and gave judgment of $2500 against the Southern California Edison Co., whose wires were alleged to have set fire to a house at Costa Mesa. Receiving the judgment were L. A. Bloomer and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Bloomer, owners of the house, valued at $7500. An insurance company paid a policy of $4000. Mrs. Emma Williams, a neighbor, testified she looked from her window one morning to see a small bail of fire at the juncture of the wires with the Bloomer house. A few minutes later the house was in flames, and it burned to the ground. On the other hand R. G. Boyles, superintendent of distribution for the company, and F. W. Shreder, electrical manufacturer of Los Angeles, declared that it was virtually impossible for electric wires to set fire to wood. Youth Safe in East; Executive Absent Altho several days have elapsed since the district attorney's office petitioned Governor Richardson for papers to extradite Ardylee Hill, Fullerton youth, from Sedan, Kan. the Santa Ana office today had not been informed what disposition, if any, of the case the governor would make. The governor has received the papers, according to word received from his secretary, who added that the governor had been absent from his office, but was expected to return yesterday. Hill, who is under arrest at Sedan, is wanted on a complaint issued by the district attorney's office accusing him with forming a $150 check on his father, H. C. Hill, and of cashting it at a Fullerton bank. President S. W. Smith of the bank swore to the complaint. Information in the hands of the authorities, they said, is to the effect that checks totaling more than $450 had been floated in Fullerton recently.
