CONGRESSMEN SICK
WASHINBGTON, March 2 — Closing weeks took toll of the vitality and health or congressmen.
Assuming that the public is titled to know what it is they especially when such purchases involve the possibility of accident or continued dissatisfaction, Door Bros have again asked their dealers to warn motorists that the market is flooded with county felt service parts of every description.
Some of the parts, It is so are represented as genuine, other instances; the purchaser led to believe that the counterpart is exactly the same as genuine, even though it is manufactured by the builder on the car on which the part is used to replace another part. Dodge Bros, contend that the buyer is the victim of misrepresentation in either case.
The results of a long series tests in the Dodge Bros' laboratories indicate that the motor is not only fooled, as a general rule, when he pays out good money for counterfeit parts, but that he sometimes places himself in trust danger.
For example, a genuine Dodge Bros.' rear axle shaft without six complete turns in a twist test, while the best of seven counterfeit shafts withstood an 1½ turn. Again, a genuine knuckle bolt bent almost double, without breaking, was put under tremendous pressure When the same test was applied a counterfeit knuckle bolt, snapped in two immediately.
Automobile owners can prove themselves against such damage and misrepresentation by having parts installed only by service companies approved by the fact which builds their car.
