A house provision for extending vocational training was eliminated. WORCESTER.—"I am ready to go to Chicago at once and testify to the coroner's jury that Billy McClintock died of typhoid fever," declared Miss Signe Gustafson, former maid in the household of Wm. D. Shepherd today. DENVER.—Charges of first-degree murder will be filed against Dr. Harold Elmer Blazer today for poisoning his imbecile daughter, Hazel Blazer, 32. Dist. Atty. Joel E. Stone of Arapahoe-co decided to file the murder charges against the aged physician after more than an hour's questioning at his home in Englewood Monday, where he is said by physicians to be recovering from self-inflicted wounds following the death of his daughter last Tuesday. FRESNO.—Charles E. Barnum, former public administrator and clubman, today faces an indeterminate sentence of from one to ten years following plea of guilty to charges of embezzlement in office. Shortages, amounting to more than $6000, were in four estates. WASHINGTON. The federal farm loan act and the agriculture credits act were changed today by bill which would extend the house to San Francisco.—John Tomjako and Carl Michaels were arrested today as they were about to burglarize a drug store. Both admitted they were wanted in Dallas, Tebas, for robbery, police said. SAN FRANCISCO.—A heavy fog slowed down shipping and ferry traffic across the bay this morning. SAN FRANCISCO.—King Alfonso of Spain was formally invited to attend the Diamond Jubilee celebration in San Francisco next October in honor of California's 50th anniversary of statehood. SAN FRANCISCO.—Police today were looking for two youthful bandits who late yesterday entered offices of Dr. Gabor Koenigstein, chiropodist and former princefight promoter, bound and gagged him and two women patients and escaped with cash and jewelry totaling more than $3000. SAN FRANCISCO. — Rear Admiral John H. Dayton, U. S. N., will arrive April 3 to take charge of the Twelfth navy district and the Mare Island navy yard. Capt. John Luby has been temporarily in charge of both. DOUGLAS. — President Callee of Mexico was appealed to today by citizens of Agua Prieta just across the international line from here to investigate the death of Albert Whitton, an employee of the Arizona state highway commission, found dead in an Agua Prieta opium den. CHICAGO.—The state's case against W. E. D. Stokes, elderly New York millionaire, and three others on trial for conspiracy to defame Mrs. Helen Elwood Stokes, was completed today. LOS ANGELES.—J. R. Temberlil wanted in Texarkana, Ark., for alleged misuse of the mails in connection with oil promotion project, was ordered returned to Texarkana today by U. S. Commissioner Turney. NEW YORK.—Morris Ketcham Parker, vice-president of the Equitable Trust Co., committed suicide today. SAN FRANCISCO.—A body believed that of George G. LONDON—Two men were arrested in Lemburg charged with planning to blow up a powder magazine. Russian documents and money were found at homes of prisoners. VIGO. Spain—Ten men were seriously injured when earth slides derailed Madrid Express. PARIS—Gloria Swanson continued rapid convulsence today. She is expected to leave the hospital by the end of this week. Mrs. Fanny Gillette mother of the safety razor king is 93 years old but is hale and hearty. Mrs. Gillette is the author of the White House Cook Book published many years ago.
