ADMITS FILLING POISON POTION
COLUMBUS, Ohio, Feb. 6.—Admission that he filled the prescription at the campus dispensary for Harold F. Gillig, Tiffin, one of the Ohio State university students, who became seriously ill a few days ago, presumably by strychnine poisoning, was made here this afternoon by Jos. L. Moss, Columbus, a student in the College of Pharmacy.
Moss insisted, however, that he did not prepare the medicine supposed to consist of capsaed quinine as aspirin. He said he merely took the medicine out of a bottle. This was about 10:30 a.m. last Friday, Moss said.
Prosecutor Chester declared late today his intention of going into the report that strychnine had been used more or less among Ohio State university students, particularly for the purpose of mental stimulant preparatory to taking examinations.
COLUMBUS, Feb. 6.—Mystery surrounding the seemingly surreptitious appearance of the bottle containing about 300 grains of strychnine, on a shelf in the College of Pharmacy laboratory, Ohio State university, was cleared up here today by police officials probing the mysterious distribution of capsules of strychnine which resulted in the recent death of two students and serious illness of at least three others.
Prof. Wm. E. Keyser, an instructor in the College of Pharmacy, today informed Police Prosecutor Chester and the city detectives who are conducting the investigation that the bottle of poison was obtained about a year ago from the general chemical storeroom on the university campus. Keyser was unable to explain for what purpose the strychnine was secured.
URGES ORANA FOR
HI-School Notes
The high school varsity and D class teams will play the similar teams of Garden Grove here this afternoon in the league series. A lively contest is expected.
The B and C class teams defeated Garden Grove's two B and C teams yesterday afternoon at Garden Grove.
Next Tuesday afternoon the locals will play Huntington Park. The B class team may go over as well as the varsity. Whether C and D will go is uncertain.
Compton was beaten 29-12 in the practice game here.
The girls' hockey team worsted Fullerton's team 4-2 here yesterday afternoon. This is the first season Fullerton has had a team. Roberta Eley scored one of the four points and Jeannette Huarte three. Esther Hile, Marjorie Laourette and Captain Mildred Laourette all at fullback, and Alma Callor, right wing, all played good games.
The team will play Santa Ana here Tuesday. This is a playoff game, and is expected to be fast and furious. The first game, played there, was a tie.
The indoor baseball team will play Tustin there Feb. 11. Games with Downey, Norwalk and El Monte also will be played before the regular league schedule opens on March 4, when Anabelm and Santa Ana will play there. All but Fullerton and Garden Grove have teams in the baseball league.
BLAST IN MOTION PICTURE THEATRE
KANSAS CITY, Mo., Feb. 6.—A motion theatre was blown up by a bomb and one suspect was killed by a policeman as he tried to break away at his home early today.
The World in Motion, movie picture house, was wrecked by the explosion.
URGES ORANA FOR COUNTY COLLEGE
Orana, the junction of West Chapman-ave and North Main-st. Santa Ana, has been recommended as the site of the new county union junior college by the investigating committee of County Superintendent of School R. P. Mitchell.
The committee wants 40 acres, which with buildings would cost $1,000,000, it is estimated. The money would be obtained by a bond issue.
The tax rate on the Santa Ana junior college district would be cut from 23 to 12 cents, but that of the Fullerton district would be unchanged.

KANSAS CITY, Mo., Feb. 6—A motion theatre was blown up by a bomb and one suspect was killed by a policeman as he tried to break away at his home early today.
The World in Motion, movie picture house, was wrecked by the explosion.
The bombing of the theatre was later laid to a localized war between union and non-union operators.
The suspect, whom police have not so far identified, was arrested near the scene of the explosion, running.
Patrolman Stephens, who made the arrest, took the man home at the prisoner's request. They awakened the man's wife, who told conflicting stories.
The prisoner walked into a rear room. When Stephens told him to return to the front room, the suspect opened fire. Stephens shot twice, both bullets taking effect.
