Thirty odd applications from boxing promoters for permanent permits to hold shows under the new boxing act confronted the state athletic commission when it convened here today at the call of Chairman Sehk W. H. Strelinger for its second meeting. In addition to the request from clubs and promoters the commission has been literally swamped with application by managers, seconds, boxers, physicians other ring attendants for licenses. Fully 200 fighters have asked for permission to appear in long route contests in California. It was announced.
