MEET STEAMER WITH 75 AUTOS
Orange-co. C. of C. representatives will meet the steamship "Belgenland," in San Pedro harbor Saturday, Dec. 20 with 75 autos to show the passengers about the grandest, most productive country which they will find on their world cruise. The motor itinerary follows:
Leave San Pedro at 9 a.m., thence to Hollywood, Pasadena, Whittier, La Habra, Brea, Fullerton, Placentia, Anaheim, Olive to Orange-co. Park, where luncheon will be served at 1 o'clock.
2:30 p.m. Return to "Belgenland" via El Modena, Orange, Santa Ana, Garden Grove, Huntington Beach, thence via Pacific Coast Highway to Long Beach and San Pedro, arriving at 5 o'clock when the drivers of cars will be guests of the American Express Co.
Anyone having a closed car which they will use for the journey is asked to phone the C. of C. office, 665. Anaheim must supply the required quota of autos and maintain its reputation of being the livest city in the district.

WOMAN POSES AS MAN SEVEN YEARS
LOS ANGELES, Dec. 15.—Words from Miss Harriet E. Walker, an employee of Swift & Co., Chicago packers, was awaited by Los Angeles authorities today in their investigation of the strange case of "Paul J. Beach," mystery woman who posed as a man for several years.
Friends of the dead woman told the authorites that Miss Walker was a relative or friend of "Beach." Florence Dillon, the girl who "Beach" married eight year ago in Sacramento, was an assistant cashier in the stock yards bank of Swift & Co., Chicago, before she met "Beach and married "him," living with "him" as husband for several years, it was said.
The woman known as the wife of "Beach" was said to have had two brothers in Chicago, Ray, former aviator who was decorated by the King of Italy and Richard a laundry owner.
"Beach" met Miss Dillon Chicago and came west, finally inducing her by letter to join "him" in California and go thru a marriage ceremony.
While "Beach" was working on a barber and carpenter, "Mr Beach" was employed here as secretary to a physician, the authorities said.
The body of the woman held at an undertaker's clad clothes she had worn thrill heavy black trousers and a stitched boned shirt.
A report of an autopsy performed by Dr. Wagner, count autopsy physician was to be made today.

Mr. Fred Bastady was brought home from the Methodist hospital in Los Angeles Friday.
The following men from Buena Park were pall bearers at Mrs. Ledford's funeral Friday: Dr. J. R. Schofield, H. S. Horn and George McNeil.
Miss Florence Warren favored with a vocal solo at the White Shrine Christmas party at Fullerton Wednesday night.
The supper given by the Ladies Aid was well attended. Mrs. Frank Jones and Mrs. G. S. Davis had charge. The supper in January will be in charge of Mrs. H. S. Horn and Mrs. George Cole.
Mrs. E. M. Miller principal of our school attended a meeting of the principals of the Orange-co grammar schools at Ketner's in Santa Ana Thursday evening.

CROMWELL, Okla., Dec. 15.—Guards today were patrolling the ashes of Cromwell—famous boom town of the oil fields—as most of its business district lay in ruins following a disastrous fire which began yesterday morning and burned through the day. Lootins started while the flames were still raging.
Officials today began an investigation of reports that the fire started from bombs set off near the Murphy' dance hall, cause of the expose that touches three states.

PEKIN, Dec. 15.—The Pekin military expedition against C.Hsieh Yuan, military governor of Kaing Su province, has been tested held up, due to word orcelay here today that he has coiled with the central government's mandate and resign from office; it was announced the foreign office this afternoon.

300 MAY RECOVERY MANILA, Dec. 15.—Gov.
