SOCIAL AND FRATERNAL CLUB TO CARRY HOLIDAY CHEER TO HOSPITAL THE Community club, that lively organization of forty-five members living in the community of Cypress and Hansen, held their monthly meeting yesterday at the home of Mrs. John Kester, 111 El Portal-st., Santa Ana, with Mrs. Dora Fels and Mrs. Mary Sutherland assistant hostesses. A wonderfully fine pot luck luncheon was enjoyed at noon, with hot coffee, all served in cafeteria manner, Dahlias and chrysanthemums graced points of vantage in all the rooms of the cheery new home. Plans for Thanksgiving activities were formulated, particularly the pleasures given to the members of the Orange county hospital and home. Each year the cub carries dainty ties for the holidays and the plan this year is to make the contributions a week earlier. Consequently, on the afternoon of Nov. 20, a committee, Mrs. H. LaRue, Jack Fuqua and C. F. Huttenlocker, Mrs. Clark and any others who care to join them, will take homemade cakes and jellies and jams to the hospitals. Everyone will contribute to the collection and all are asked to have their articles at the LaRue store not later than noon of Thursday, the 20th. The club will buy bananas and also present the little bags of lavender made at the last meeting. Mrs. Sutherland read a number, "It We Only Understood," and Mrs. A. R. Pitts gave, "What the Neighbors Think." Mrs. O. P. Buayard had a humorous reading, "Annie Dolle Goes To Visit the Lorenzo, made richer by 1000 ducks, the reward for the recovery of the jewels, may now hope for Zerlina's hand. Hearing of a Lorenzo, made richer by 1000 ducks, the reward for the recovery of the jewels, may now hope for Zerlina's hand. Hearing of a Lorenzo, made richer by 1000 ducks, the reward for the recovery of the jewels, may now hope for Zerlina's hand." Story of Fra Diavolo The story of Fra Diavolo, the light opera to be presented in Anaheim high school anditorium Monday night, Dec. 1, by the Orange County Choral Union, in which several of Anaheim's most talented vocalists will take part. Is the story of a sand of robbers. Fra Diavolo, chief and his band, are the pest of Terracina. An English noblewoman and his newly married lady, making the town of Italy, are surprised by those brigands and plundered. They contrive, however, to secure the greatest part of their money. Arrived at the Low Terracina they meet Fra Diavolo, disguised as the Marquela of San Mareo, whom they had previously encountered in their travels, and of whom My Lord is jealous. At the moment of their arrival Lorenzo, captain of a company of cariblers, is setting out with his men in search of Fra Diavolo and his bandits. Lorenzo loves Zerlina, daughter of Mateo, landlord of the inn, and his affection is returned, but Mateo insists that his daughter marry a rich farmer and Lorenzo takes a sad farewell of Zerlina. Fra Diavolo assails the English lady with his gallantries in order to discover where the treasure, which his band, has been secreted Lorenzo returns from a successful reconnoiter with the bandits, having killed 20 of their number and recovered the stolen jewels. Fra Diavolo vows vengeance on Lorenzo for the loss of his comrades. Lorenzo, made richer by 1000 ducks, the reward for the recovery of the jewels, may now hope for Zerlina's hand. Hearing of a Lorenzo, made richer by 1000 ducks, the reward for the recovery of the jewels, may now hope for Zerlina's hand.
