"Dance of Death" Ticket Clue to Woman Who Drank Poison
WASHINGTON, Nov. 7. — A black-bordered ticket of admission to a subscription "dance of death" furnished police here today with the identity of a 24-year-old woman lying seriously ill in Emergency hospital from self-administered poison, and revealed her as the sweetheart and possible wife of Walter Muir, 21-year-old New York lad hanged last July in Quebec for murder after a sensational case that reached international proportions.
The girl—Catherine Morgan of New York City—drank five ounces of poison Wednesday night, crawled to the hospital and collapsed in the doorway. Examination of her handbag revealed a packet of intimate letters exchanged between herself, Muir and the boy's mother.
But it was the ticket to the "dance of death" that excited the curiosity of police and hospital authorities. The friends of the hanged lad had danced throut a night in order to raise funds that a monument might be erected to him in a New York cemetery.
Among the letters were copies of several letters of condolence the Morgan girl had written to Muir's mother; a letter from Murr written from the death house and two photographs of the youth.
The fact that the young woman wore a wedding ring and that several other letters in her possession had been written her in care of Muir's mother led the police to believe possible the pair had been secretly married.

BALDWIN IN HOT WATER ALREADY
LONDON, Nov. 7. — Stanley Baldwin, head of the new Toronto government, has struck trouble within a week of the party's heavy victory at the polls.
His cabinet, which received the king's approval yesterday afternoon, has met with a mixed reception from Tory and opposition press.
"Die hard" Tories of the extreme right wing, are openly angry because Winston Churchill has been given the most important post, chancellor of the exchequer, while other Tories hopefully maintain that it shows Baldwin will be in dependent of the reactional eliquen within the conservatism party.
Even the most loyal Tories amit that it is unpleasant to have Baldwin give the most important places in his cabinet to Lloyd George coalitionists — Austin Chamberlain, designated foreign secretary; Sir Lamington Wortington-Evans, secretary of war; Earl Birkenhead, secretary of India.
Premier Baldwin is expected to appoint Lord Cecil chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster.
Lord Beaverbrook's London Express is hostile because Sir Rob Horne was not included in the new cabinet, and predicts a party splash.
"The new cabinet is born in blizzard which may before long test its infantile strength," the Express says.

A distinguished coffee meets many distinguished people
It is the glorious West that visitors from abroad most want to see in America. Not the least of the thrills they relate back home is that "wonderful western coffee!" And thus has the coffee tradition spread to every Old World capital.
You know their enthusiasm is well founded the moment you break the vacuum seal of a tin of Hills Bros. Red Can Coffee and release that rare aroma. You are doubly sure when you taste the flavor. As one zealot said, "They may copy the can, but not its contents!"
With all its high quality, Hills Bros. Coffee is not high-priced. It is economical to buy—and economical to use. Hills Bros., San Francisco.

Morning Post expresses the hope that Baldwin will refresh the cabine with new recruits. It declares that Torles must procure the split of the working people and states that the masses are bitterly hostile to Churchill.
The London Chronicle a Lloyd George organ, sees justification for the coalition members of the cabinet, while the Liberal Westminster Gazette, says:
"The cabinet may weather the storm long enough to give the country a breathing spell."
The Liberal London Daily News says, "The new cabinet compares favorably with the scratch organization of Baldwin's last cabinet."
The Times expresses the hope that Baldwin will avail himself of young members of the Tory party, while the Telegraph regrets the absence of Sir Robt, Horne.
