PLACENTIA
PLACENTIA, Oct. 15. (Spl.)—The California Development Association is offering a $100 silver cup, known as the Better Citizen cup to the C. of C. that makes the best showing in its district by getting out the biggest percentage of votes. Now everybody register and everybody vote, that the slogan of the C. of C., the beautiful silver cup will be presented to the district that makes the best record gets out the biggest vote. This is a better citizenship contest, everybody is in it and as a member it is up to the individual to do his part. There is no reason why Placentia cannot win this cup. We have three precincts and we ought to put this vote over nearly 100 per cent. President Bradford of the C. of C. will appoint committees on Tuesday who will make a concerted drive to bring to Placentia this silver citizenship cup. The prize alone isn't the goal every town should have the satisfaction of knowing that it has put over its vote as close to 100% as possible. It is a privilege to vote in this country and people must be made to appreciate that fact.
Register now is the urgent advice and appoint yourself a committee of one to get out and vote and get your neighbor to vote.
