PAVE ROAD INTO INDUSTRIAL SITE
The adoption of a motion for the immediate paving of Brookhurst-rd. into Fullerton's new industrial site was the chief feature of the meeting of Fullerton trustees. This action was taken following an appeal by George A. Raymer, secretary of the Fullerton C. of C., who said representatives of a certain industrial corporation from the east had arranged to come to Fullerton soon with a view to locating here a $2,500,000 plant, and that if the road is not paved it will mitigate against the selection of the site.
Mr. Raymer said that this is a bigger thing for Fullerton, if it can be landed, than the glass factory, and that he has been working on it six months. The D.A. Paxing Co. it is said, will do some of the work without cost, and the Santa Fe will take care of the crossing. The motion was introduced by W.J. Carmichael.
The city also passed a resolution entering a float in the Armistice Day parade at Huntington Beach on Nov. 11, providing that the float should be symbolical of "Good Roads." The motion for this was introduced by W.A. Moore and seconded by Roy Davis. W.J. Carmichael moved that a special committee be appointed to have charge of arrangements. Davis and Carmichael were appointed on this committee.
